I know people enjoy nothing better that moanin like arl tarts but cant we give it a bit of a rest this season?
The pressures bad enough without us all being stressed to fu'ck because people arent giving the manager and the players a chance
Be patient for fu'cks sake

Bit unlucky Gomel and gave their all but as we know you get kicked in the teeth if you dont
turn domination and chances into goals.

They wont be crying too much though going back to their cheap ale and hot east european
girlfriends

We do need fresh faces though and they need to tie up at least a couple to set us on another
course before the season starts proper in a few weeks.

If Carroll had played up front tonight there would have been tons of posts saying he was invisible :p

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Joe Cole for getting injured and allowing Sterling to get more than 60 minutes.   And I actually thought about it for a couple of minutes.

Well that was like pulling teeth - we won , no idea how we won though.

Downing probably deserves it for scoring, but to be fair he didnt have alot of competition

Job done I suppose ,but it made for painful viewing ,I don't see this team playing Rodgers type of football ,not unless he drafts in some youngsters .
I was much more impressed with the passing against Toronto and Roma ,and it remains  a total conundrum why Shelvey was kept on the bench .

Doesn't really matter how poor that side are supposed to be, they'll have been right up for it with the prospect of taking a big scalp , they were at home and that was something like their 20th competitive game of their season so they were clearly going to be fitter.

Add to that we were far from full strength, are still trying to adapt to a new style of play and have players and a manager still trying to get to know each other.

Personally I don't see how people can be crying about a poor performance and a 1-0 away win in Europe taking everything into consideration.

Putting Spearing in the shop window maybe?  With a box to stand on of course.

real snatch and grab result and it was always going to be a cup final game for them and id imagine they probably feel mugged.
i know fitness levels arent what they should be but at times we looked completely clueless and reminiscent of last season which is a worry.we did finish stronger and looked more composed but baffled as to why carroll couldnt play that system as plenty of times in that game balls were fired long from deep and wide.borini looks like he can read a pass so maybe him and andy could work as a pairing.
we really need a creative mid this window.
