Liverpool and a final  :help

2:2 and we win on penalties
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Id like to see Gerrard in a free role just behind Suarez.  He's always been best in that role.  Very worried though that Carra wasn't in the squad the other night, surely he won't start!  Id go with:

                  Reina
Johnson  Skrtel  Agger  Enrique

             Spearing Shelvey
Kuyt                                  Maxi
                  Gerrard
                      Suarez

If Maxi goes missing get Bellamy on.  If plan A isn't working, get Andy on.

I'd go 5 2 3

                           Reina
Johnson.  Carra.   Skrtel.  Agger.  Enrique

                       Henderson
                                       Gerrard

Bellamy.           Carroll.            Suarez

Actually can't believe it. Got a business trip to Florida and have to fly out at 11am on Saturday morning. I'll arrive just after the games finishes. I missed the Carling Cup final for the exact same reason!!!!  :veryangry

However, we won the last final I missed, therefore by default we win win this one. Well that's what I am convincing myself of! :nod

Not before we come back after being 2:0 down.

Anyway, this is my line-up. Unlikely but this is what I would like to see:

                      Reina

Johnson     Skrtel   Agger    Enrique

        Hendo   Shelvey/Spearing

                    Gerrard

       Bellamy                Maxi

                    Suarez

We'll probably play Carra instead of Skrtel though, and I doubt Maxi will play.

Big big game and I honestly do worry about our lineup for this one. On the one hand, Carra seems to be set to start at CB and will most likely replace either Enrique or Skrtel in the lineup. Down the middle, our options seem to be Spearing, Shelvey, Henderson and Gerrard. Of the 4, only Spearing and Gerrard imo deserve to start but its always a gamble playing only 2 down the middle against a strong side like Chelsea in an important game and I dont see us doing it. Outside that I think the side prety much picks itself. Expect Downing and Bellamy, Suarez alone upfront, and Johnson, Agger and Reina being sure picks at the back.

What I'd personally like to see us go for is this:

Reina
Johnson
Skrtel
Agger
Enrique
Spearing
Gerrard
Maxi
Bellamy
Suarez
Kuyt

What I expect us to go for is this:

Reina
Johnson
Carra
Skrtel
Agger
Spearing
Gerrard
Henderson
Bellamy
Downing
Suarez

Either way, our midfield will have to be solid and efficient in this one or we'll be overrun by a very organized and rejuvenated Chelsea side. No giving the ball away cheaply and more importantly no getting caught out of position. If we can do the basics right and manage to be clinical infront of goal then I say we have a decent chance of winning it

Magical that was. I thought for sure Gudjohnsen was going to score at the end. Good save that from Jerzy as well.

Dear Mr Dalglish and the team

Please can we have a clear cut win tomorrow? None of this drawing after extra time and a penalty shoot out cr@p that makes my ar$e twitch like a budgies eyelid.
Please can we just beat Chelsea 2-0 in the 90 minutes, collect the trophy and get to the fecking bar? Let's do this the easy way .

thanks

Every Liverpool fan in the world.
