Ok, regardless of who is in charge, this is already a must win for us as a club, lose or even draw with Villa and it could be the end for the manager but more so it could drop us into the bottom 3, unthinkable :( but realistic

We have a few injuries now to key players including Benteke (2 weeks+), Henderson (2 months), Firmino (unknown), Lovren (3 months)

I think as far as who is available we must start with Ings centrally with Sturridge (STINGS), obvioulsy Sakho will partner Skrtel due to Lovrens injury and i would like to see Moreno continur at left wing/back

It seems certain that the managers favourite boy Allen will start, probably alongside Can and Milner

This is a huge game for us and a defining moment for the manager

His job probably hangs on this game so we'll see if he has lost the dressing room or not.
Rodgers is right when he said a couple of wins could see us back in the top 4 and he wouldn't be the first manager to turn things around when on the verge of being sacked, the likes of Howard Kendall and Alex Ferguson were pretty much in his position themselves but went on to have great success.

A win vs Villa and Sion will give him hope and followed by a win in the derby can change things. Time will tell..

Ings and sturridge up front please.

Oh shit, I can't look...
How many times have we said this?
Maybe this'll be the one where our season kicks off...
Maybe we'll set off on a winning streak...
Maybe Rodgers will play his players in their correct positions and the wildly overpaid prima-donnas will earn their wages for a change....
Maybe b0ll0cks.....
Maybe we'll get the same embarrassing boring dross and Villa will kick us in the teeth for stealing their star scorer....
Maybe we'll have to endure listening to Rodgers talking about how fantastic the team were and how they showed such character when Villa went 4 up....
Maybe I'm just getting angry and impatient...
Maybe. Just maybe.
Soon find out.

Liverpool team of today regrardless who is selected by this idiot is a beaten team before the start!, I don't expect a good result, and to get a draw will be lucky!.
The light weight and expensive Firmino will not be missed at all, even Lovren we have enough cover in that position in bright Gomez, and CAN.
It is very sad to see the state of the club these days which it does not give you any hope prior of any easy games, it is a stark truthful indication how much LFC had really declined over the past three years under the charge of this idiot BR and money suckers the American owner who has no heart in this club!!

A win will keep Rodgers afloat for another few months

A lose will be another nail in the coffin... with the fans NOT the owners! Mr Henry's twitter account rarely mentions LFC these days...

Surely a "must win" for Rodgers and the club.

Can only hope he goes for it with an attacking selection

I'd go for

.                                                     Mignolet

. Clyne                          Skrtl                              Sakho                      Moreno

.                                                     Lucas

.                            Can                                        Lalanna

.                                                   Coutinho

.                                 Sturridge                     Ings
.

Hope to see Firmino or Lallana in earlier rather than later for one of those three mids. Again we're going very negative in the middle, and that hurt us against Norwich. Maybe both of them.

Glad to see Sakho and Moreno have deservedly kept their place.

Hopefully it's a 4-4-2 rather than 3-5-2.

Looks like it will be 3-5-2 again. I don't mind the line up. Against Norwich at one stretch, we were playing as well as we ever had. One of tge strikers would need to fall back and play a link up role. All we gotta do is win the Dame.

I'd go for

.                                                     Lucas

.                            Can                                        Lalanna

.                                                   Coutinho

.                                 Sturridge                     Ings
.

That's probably the best line-up and formation we can come out with at the moment woof. But Milner has to play unfortunately. However, if today's set-up has only Milner instead of Lallana but keeps the same shape and formation, I think we'll still see a good game from us.

Anyway, we haven't won against this lot at Anfield in 4 years! If we don't win I expect nothing less than a sack on the spot.
