Watched the game on the .tv website, typical pre-season game with almost the whole team subbed at half time.  First half was entertaining enough but second half just about put me to sleep.

Pennant got loads of space and created all of Idrizaj's goals from the right wing.  The 2 of them were our best players on the day, Pennant especially.  Hammill tried hard but things weren't quite happening for him.  Apart from that not much else to say.  The 2 new Hungarians came on and didn't really do anything of note, neither did the other forward Brouwer in the 1st half (apart from get a touch one one of Pennant's crosses before Idrizaj buried it).  Both our young keepers (Martin and Hansen) displayed some questionable decision making at times which can't have impressed Benitez.

Difficult to read anything into these games.  It was a decent run-out and doesn't look like we picked up any injuries, so it served it's purpose.

I enjoyed the game with a few beers :D  I can't for the season to start now, it was good to watch a few the young lads play.

dont you just love it when pre-season starts, the matches might not live up to much but you know the season is just around the corner.

lets hope we have a better pre-season than last year, we need to get off to a good start and a good run of results in these games will help us along the way.

Where the hecks Anderson

I would hope to see the other new guys that we brought in this summer against Crewe, such as Voronin, Leto, Mikel San Jose, the Bulgarian Goalie, and Gary Mackay Steven. Also, Fransico Duran the  spanish midfielder that we bought in January, was the only player out of our reserve squad that didn't play. And I know he is only 16 but I would like to see Pacheco play some too.  But I think based on what Rafa said in the post match interview, that we are more likely to see the likes of momo, Hyypia, Carson, and Riise.  Also is there any news on Aurelio? is he  still recovering or is he in training?

Was a good day out.  Few pints and that, before and after the game.

One of our new songs I heard for the first time a couple of weeks ago was aired at Wrexham today.

LISTEN AND LEARN IT FOR WHEN YOU SIT AT ANFIELD because I predict this song will be big next season.

Second half was a bit shit, but clearly the senior players on show in the first half dominated (Sissoko and Pennant).

Don't get too excited though.  A poor indication today of what lies ahead.  It was as good as a training session at best in my opinion, but top marks to the young lad who took his hat-trick extremely well.
