What a ridiculous way to end your career. How high and stupid can you be to let yourself be filmed saying something like this?

Anyway, I was surprised that people on here told me once that it's a bunch of malarkey that everyone is against us, but I'm convinced it's true. Even if I'm not even British I always see other English people being hateful towards Scousers, not just towards LFC fans but the people of Liverpool in general. I'm pretty sure we're the most hated club in England, and referees are no exception to that.

So some of them are corrupt, others just simply hate us, as we can see here with this bellend.

Goes to show how decisions could be influenced by ref bias. The guy is a buffoon, wonder how many others think the same. If they hate a team/manager they definitely will give the opposition a 12th man.

Yep spot on mate, this city is very different in nature to other English cities and the rest of the country don't like it, politically radical we are not natural cap doffers or boot lickers which annoy's the hell out of the establishment in particular.

Referee's bias is not something to be waived away flippantly, you dont need brown envelopes to be flying around for teams to be shafted out of titles or unfairly demoted etc. The whole thing needs looking into imo. Personally i'd like to see foreign ref's brought in along the lines of nuetral umpires in cricket. Cricket is meant to be the game of gentlemen but even they had to accept that its very difficult for officials to keep their personal biases out of the decision making process. Its about time footy faced up to that reality too.

They are even worse only have to look at some of the decisions in some of the recent CL matches

And if we grab the best refs from other countries what will those countries do ?

This particular ref might not be corrupt but there is a huge chance (for me a certainty) that his biasness and obvious hate towards us has influenced him into deliberately making wrong decisions that have cost us dearly. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if it's corruption or just simple hate, we get wrong decisions against us and have lost titles because of it and that's all that matters. It's something some of us have been saying for a while and this is just one small proof for it. I'm certain we'll get proof of corruption as well, sooner or later.

About international refs, yes we've seen that refereeing isn't the best outside of England either, but then again, when is the last time we've had such blatantly wrong decisions going against us in the CL like we've had in the league?

If bringing in international refs is too much then the least they can do is not allocate our games to f*cking mancs to ref.

As we have always said, the weakest link in the implementation of VAR has always been the village idiot in the control room.  Our refs should strive to be the best in the world instead of the laughing stock.

Give me a poor foreign ref over a biast English one any day of the week. As dj alluded to when have we ever been on the wrong end of a decision in Europe as blatant as say Doku's challenge on Macca or that carry on at Spurs when Diaz was clearly on. There's just too many strange decisions involving us for my liking, look at that last minute handball by Rodri at Goodison, that non decision by both the ref and even more inexplicable the VAR cost us the title, heck even Rodri came out after the game and said it was handball. How could the officials not see that.Add proper headscratching decisions like that to videoclips like the one released yesterday and you'd have to be born yesterday to think everything is on the level..

You don’t lose a title on a wrong decision

The season is 38 games

Whilst we have had them go against us we have also had ones go for us as well


A lot of refs have “big club” subconscious bias at times - decisions going in our favour being at Anfield etc

The refs aren’t “corrupt” - some of them just aren’t very good or can’t handle the pressure

But there aren’t many better in leagues outside the UK , these are the best there are

It’s high profile and high pressure now

For referees to give blatant wrong decisions they need to also have the rest of fhe VAR and on field team included

Coote for example could have given a penalty against us twice on Saturday - he had the opportunity , they wouldn’t have been overturned

He is just a ***** referee who’s ***** judgement and arrogance has ***** his career

Did you not see the blatant trip on Nunez jn the box against Bologna that was a clear penalty you will ever see - as bad as anything we have seen in the Prem

They are no better abroad and prob below the top 2 they are prob worse - been some horrors in the CL or Europa
