Micks view I find it funny how I say things weeks ago and someone else says the same thing then gets all the kudos for it.I get labeled as someone that talks sh.it all the time yet you all tend to follow on with what I say a week or 2 later.

In any long term community people gets a bit "ignored" until they spend a good time in the community. And you only came in August.

Not that I say that's good, it's how I think it works. It takes a while until you're noticed. But the problem is not you.

Is Rafa about to get the sack?

well dont think so but theres loads of reports coming into the press room saying that he is about to get the sack.

i get more the feeling that its the press trying to make it come true than being true.

a reporter is said to have spoken to Hicks today about sacking Rafa and was told there was no truth in it.

I would love to know how they get hold of him so fast lol, i make it that he would still be asleep in america lol.

Yeah I am only messing any ways I understand its a trust thing what does little me know about football. 

I won't bang on about my past and I doubt no one wants to hear it but I know my football pretty well but its all opinions I doubt any one would know every thing about football even if they lived 200 years. 

I was raised in a big football family any ways I can't hide from that and like every one still learning it , will do till the day I die.

Many on here might think that I want Rafa out.  Fact is I don't. I want him to be more flexible to concentrate on the football.  He needs to build a good working relationship with Christian Purslow and Leave Dumb and Dumber to him.  On Monday night I was hoping that 'right here we go let's get back on track go on a run and show them we're not finished yet' 

The problem is that since the start of the season I have had the 'Fear'.  I remember under Houllier when I stopped believing.  Houllier was a great servant of Liverpool he restored my belief and brought back some of the glory which we had lost when Kenny left.  Houllier made me believe.  He took the club back to a point and then his own limitations kicked in.  The next step was Rafa.  Rafa made me believe again and for a long time I believe we could always beat anyone.  From the start of this season the old Houllier feeling returned and now I watch matches in fear.  Many here my reject this, but the silence now permeating Anfield shows me that the vast majority of fans are either as fearful as I am or the are very anxious.  I want to watch Liverpool with the expecation that we will win.  Stupid beach balls and bad referees can be explained and understood but fearing that Sunderland, fulham, Birmingham will beat us is not acceptable.  The worst thing about this is that the anxiousness is now coming across from the players.  Their body language tells me that they don't believe.  Benny I could give you answers to all your questions about my previous post here but thats all subjective what you cant deny me is how I personally feel.  I wonder am I the only one or are there others out there who no longer expect to win but instead are fearful.  I think the post by David Maddox is excellent with one caveat, we live in changed times.  The Liverpool we love is in the hands of two Americans who don't give a toss for tradition, otherwise they'd have pis*ed off long ago. 

Finally I'm not sure that anyone could replace Rafa at a club were the owners don't want to part with their own money( then again why should they, Fans are nothing to them and will stil come to games) maybe only Wenger or someone striking it lucky and finding a football genius at a lower divison club but then again finding another Bill Shankly is as rare as hens with back teeth.

The media traditionally latch on to any potential sackings, it's a hot topic and fans of other clubs (mostly) love to see our football club in a mess and others love to see us slated.

If Rafa wants the rumours to stop then he should try WINNING SOME F IN GAMES  , the only other way to stop them is to get the f in sack.........................

Benitez - Capello ?

Former Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool and current Spurs striker peter Crouch says he prefers Redknapp’s approach to that of Benitez in the way they deal with their players.

Crouch reckons the two managers are from totally different managerial schools to each other, with England manager Fabio Capello being closer to the Reds manager school.

“Harry wears his heart on his sleeve and will tell you if you’re playing badly,” Crouch stated.

“Benitez isn’t like that and might not rip into you as much, or pat you on the back.

“Benitez is the type of manager, similar to the England manager perhaps. You do have to work hard to get a ‘well done’.

“That’s the way Rafa plays it, and he’s done exceptionally well. I’d rather have Harry’s approach. It’s easier to deal with someone like Harry because he’s so open.

“I can go and talk to him and he can explain to him why I’m left out and if I’m playing well. Rafa keeps his cards to his chest.

“I found it difficult to score in the first part of my time there (at Liverpool) and the fans were fantastic to me.

“I went on to score a good amount of goals and had the best years of my career. I’d love to see them win the league.”

Last month, Crouch appeared in photographs taken in a nightclub after Tottenham triumphed over his former club Portsmouth, and he says Capello didn’t bring it up with him. Redknapp however, said: “‘you’re an idiot, move on’. Quite straight forward.”

Of the upcoming friendly vs Brazil in Doha, Crouch reckons it will be a great opportunity for him to consolidate his stance in the English squad in the World Cup finals.

“If you can score and win against Brazil the manager will believe you can do it in a big tournament,

“Brazil are one of the top five teams in the world so to put in a good performance will be fantastic for your aspirations of making the side for the World Cup.”

Many don’t know this, but Crouch goes way back with both Redknapp and Tottenham.

He was a product of the Spurs youth academy and spent 2 seasons with the 1st team before he was transferred to QPR in 2000. As for Big harry, he coached the England striker at Southampton and Portsmoth before his current spell at Spurs.

The Rock, great little insight there.  I was reminded of the story I had read about Germany in 1990 world cup after beating England.  The dressing room was moot, no shouting or celebratierpng they were focused on the final.  Theres a different mentality in England than there is in the rest of Europe.  Silence is very often misinterpreted as displeasure. Any co-habitating people here would know what the silent treatment means. (in my case its forgetting aniversaries).  I think  Shankly was right 'some player need a boot in the backside, others need an arm around the shoulder'  The skill of a manager is knowing which is appropriate at the time.  Sometimes I feel that Rafa was given a remit to put discipline into the club and he's over doing it because it worked.  Lets face it the spice boys in their stupid white suits was a joke.  Houllier was too easy on the players and was apparently letting them pick the team.  Rafa needed to stamp this out.  I love someone to tell him that he might be best served taking a different approach and being less critical.  I'd love to see him just once doing a dance whenwe score, just once hey who knows he might actually like it.

This tho is the problem we have with Rafa tho isn't it he is so close to becomming a world beating manager like all people in any job sport or non sport they need to adept to thier environment.Rafa for me seems stubbon he also has a patten in his career , one we can't ignor.

He has never stayed at a club for longer then 3 years ( before this one)  this is longest he stayed at a club.Well what can this tell us ?

Imo it means he is a great guy to come in and make the best out of what he has and then the wheels start to fall off.He is a manager who has had most success early when he joins a club then things go bad in most cases.Is this to do with his cold approach ? When the sh.it hits the fan does his lack of man management skills let him down ? I am not sure I leave that for you guys to tell me.

If rafa just buys Van Der Vaart + Carlton cole his job would be safe for atleast another 3 years. Too bad we couldnt even afford to pull Smicer out of retirement atm.
