Anyway, I know it's not a poll but if it was I should think 90% of posters atr least aren't in favour of sacking the manager now. Nearly everyone I think can see the benefits of giving the manager at least until the Summer to see how the land lies, so the "I don't fecking believe the people on here" posts are somewhat unnecessary I reckon.

Exactly mick . Its not going well at the moment that is obvious to everyone . There are numerous reasons - Injuries , Poor form from players , Indivdual Mistakes, Players not taking chances , Lack of options from the bench , thin squad , wrong sub choices . Now Rafa will shoulder and should shoulder some blame and also the players must take a hard look at themselves .

Liverpool as a club have never ever knee jerked when it comes to managers and have given them at least till the end of the season to turn things around and see if we can get something positive out of it .

I can still see us reaching the top 4 and getting into the CL next season . I can still see Man Utd and Chelsea and others loosing more games and same with us , the chances of us winning are very slim but who knows anything can happen .

Hopefully we can have a good crack at the FA Cup and win the next three in the CL we are through - so the season is still there to be grabbed at but the players and team and management must grab that chance.

As for replacements - Hiddink would be perfect but cant see him leaving Russia - he wouldnt for Chelsea and he is best mates with the Russian . Maureen - well im sure he would love to come to us for the adulation he would get from fans (not even close to the support Rafa gets) but couple reasons I dont think he would come to Liverpool - 1. Money - he earns more than any other manager in the world bar Scolari 2. Owners - He fell out with one person when he couldnt do things his own way and cant see him getting on with our owners .3. Inter - He is winning things over there and think he would rather take over the Mancs, 4 . Transfer Funds - At inter he can buy who he wants - wont have the luxury for us .

Other names been mention are Bruce,Redknapp and Hodgson are just laughable - they just arent good enough .

Mon - has a lovely little job at Villa and is safe and secure - cant see him leaving Villa for us .

Who else is there ? I have no idea tbh .

And the final bit of my little story - Imagine who Tw@t and Twit have in mind for the job if they want to get rid of Rafa .

i dont mate but lets look at the facts, the greed of the owners.

do you think they would give Rafa a contract that meant he could not win a game all year and would need to be given 25-40mil to go? no

there is a loophole, it means that if results are poor then they can sack the manager and only pay him a small goodbye fee.

it is not only our owners do this, most do.

it is not the same as him doing a great job yet they go and get another manager, in that case he would get a huge payoff.

So basically you dont know and its just pure specualtion - you have no idea if there is a "loophole" as you say it so maybe the best idea is to stop telling everyone there is and say "you think " there might be one .

I for one think Rafa is a bit more cleverer than you think and would of had clauses put in himself to protect himself .

That said, Benny you've just said on another thread that Rafa pulled the plug on selling Voronin for 3 million quid because he found out he wouldn't be able to sign a replacement. You have no way of knowing if that is true either. I said we'd beat Fulham. We all talk b0ll0cks sometimes, the phenomenon is not exclusive to Lakes.

I said that because thats exactly what was stated way back in August when he was just about to go to Berlin . As has been backed up by Sammy in an interview on LFC and by one of the Echo journos (cant remember which one exactly). The transfer was all sorted Mick (that i know 100% for sure) , it wasnt the 6 mil they were going to pay if they reached the CL but was for approx 3 mil (prob a couple mil up front plus the usual add ons).

I just read one sentence on another forum and it tells a picture:

Supporters just doesn't care that Spurs pays more wages, has a

with what he has been given.

But sorry we are big club no matter the finances cause we won the league 18 times....   
Therefore we must win the league even if Sunderland will have a squad that is worth more just cause we are LFC.

just look back at old post mate and look on rawk.

it was all over SNN at the time abut him having more control over buying players, but they also stated that targets will be set for him. as for the loophole...use your brain mate, you know the owners, how tight they are, do you think that would give him a contract with no loopholes for them not paying him a huge fee if he did not win games? ? if you think they gave him that much control then you are mad.

we dont know how much it would cost right now to sack him, the going rate in america is around 2-10mil, but that is only given if the company boss has done well before that date, this would be what Rafa would fall into.

what is more to the point what the owners will try to do is to give him a big dressing down in the hope that he walks (the americans always try that before sacking).

So basically its once again just specualtion and journo reports on the whole with no mention of "loopholes" as you suggest and as for the targets - no one will know what they are - for all we know they could be to reach the CL next season and Rafa isnt stupid as well so im pretty sure he would of made sure he would get a decent comp package if he was asked to leave
