Aguero's goal, Walcott's goal almost right in the middle of the goal, Benteke's goal... that's the few mistakes I remember, there were more and not just in this season but for a few seasons now.

But regardless of his mistakes, he is still a top keeper and ability isn't the reason we're looking to get rid. I'm sure there is more to it than "just" his agent telling us that we should be expecting a bid and Pepe himself saying that it would be difficult to say no to Barcelona. The whole rumor was short-lived with the media because Valdes didn't take too long to change his mind and stay for another season. If it dragged on throughout the whole summer, I'm sure that conversation here would have been different.

I'm sure that the club had enough proof to see that Reina is not looking to be part of Liverpool's future and went to sign a replacement while one was still available.

chelsea`s first goal was a terrible bit of keeping, the ball was hit right at him but he shuffled it into the net.
here`s some others off the top of my head, remember hodgsons first game in charge against arsenal? we played half the game with 10 men after cole got sent off but still went 1-0 up, in the last minute reina fumbled and easy lob onto van persie`s head and cost us a great win.
remember that game against fulham when spearing got sent off? reina fumbled an easy shot which allowed dempsey to tap in.
remember his clanger against hearts at anfield?
remember that game against norwich when he came flying off his line and took carragher out leaving grant holt an empty net to head into?
there`s loads of them, i cant be arsed writing them all out just because your memory is *****

But it's not like we're replacing him with a bad goalie. Mignolet will be great for us. Comparing the difference in ability between Reina and Mignolet with Suarez and Aspas was just stupid considering that Mignolet actually had a better season than Reina.

I do remember Ramries waltzing right through the middle and Pepe making a choice to cover the shot across the goal and Ramries went near post.

So Pepe has made no more or less mistakes than our whole back line because both Agger and Carra have made multiple mistakes over the past couple seasons yet they don't get called "woeful"

The front line have missed golden chance after golden chance which have cost us points - are they also woeful !

Pepe may have dropped his level slightly since the team in front of him got ripped apart and he has on many occasions been left isolated - especially last season with the high line. If we are using Pepe's form as justification to sell then he should be followed by the rest of the team bar Coutinho.

Most of it comes from trying to justify spending £9mil on a player who isn't needed

Mignolet had a better season In what way ?

Performed better by far. Cech and Begovic were the only keepers that performed better than Mignolet. And don't give me the stats bulshit. David James was the league's best goalie when Portsmouth got relegated.

Mignolet had a better season In what way ?

Performed better by far. Cech and Begovic were the only keepers that performed better than Mignolet. And don't give me the stats bulshit. David James was the league's best goalie when Portsmouth got relegated.

I think it's very hard to judge between the GK's because they are very reliant on the guys in front of them and the tactics employed.

He also cost us two points at Citeh, a calamitous bit of keeping - still gives me nightmares that does.

On his day his is still a good keeper though, we just don't get to see many of those good days any more.
