Supposedly, Madrid will not table any bid until it is confirmed he wants to leave. They say they won't unsettle a player during contract talks.

Learn a lesson Chelsea!!! This is why every club in europe won't give you the time of day!

The concrete thing to remember is that no official claims have been made by the player himself and the so called bust up at the training ground is nothing more than pure fabrication. Ok so a "close" friend said hes had enough. These people know there lying thats why they never reveal the source. Hes gonna stay im sure of it, now that Parry has offered him 100K a week.

Yesh right. They were behind most of fabrications of the "bust up" stories. There just fustrated that there running out of big name aging players but the dont realise that they are going to have to move heaven and earth to get SG.

It should also be noted that, if SG leaves, SFX are bound to get huge agents fees for "negotiating" the deal - OF COURSE SFX WANT STEVIE TO LEAVE!!!!

Also, another scenario is that LFC were offering, say £80k per week, agents comes out with all this trash - and suddenly LFC have been made to up it to £100K

For real? yeah right.. isn't real the club tapping up targets, offering them a deal impossible to refuse before turning the heat on the club? its simply the two clubs' manouevre to position themselves.

Can someone explain to me the extent of power agents have in brokering a deal? To me, in the SG saga, sfx can just about do everything, from rejecting contracts to refusing discussion to making extreme statements (half of which I simply can't believe represent stevie's thoughts!) to fabricating stories to up the stakes. Are there clauses like 'In the best interest of the player, the agency reserves the right to act on behalf of the player' etc??

Which is why Steven was alone during the meeting with Rafa and Rick. They knew that through SFX they would lose him.

If he leaves SFX get 10 million out of the deal.

I don't think the newspaper reports this morning are an accurate reflection of the true version of events. I wager that progress was made last night. Stevie is not gone yet.

Yet another football scandal....

Does anybody knows that why Gerrard didn't post his mind onto newspaper? or maybe Gerrard is posting his replies among us here. :;):

These SFX vultures, i hate them. Isnt this the same groups that brokered the deals for David Bekham and Michael Owen. Similar bust up circumstances were involved along the lines of a bust up when David Beckham left Man utd.

I really dont think SG wants out and i dont want to sound selfish but but if he does leave we couldnt be in a better situation with the 2 richest clubs in the world in a bidding war. I would prefer not to see him at Chealsea but since they dont have any players that we would like to see play if they do really want them then lets test their bank balance and say no less than £50Mil.

If Real Madrid want them then either £50Mil cash only
or

£35Mil + any players including Raul/Cambiasso/JUANFRAN/Samuel

I put JuanFran in caps becasue Rafa has been after him for some time and tried to get him as part of the MO deal but got Nunez instaed.

And dont forget if he does go then that will most certainly allow Liverpool to offer the wages reuqetsed by a certain Luis Figo.

And remember too, Liverpool will survive without Stevie.  In fact, the statistics last season suggest we could perform better.  Look at the Rooney/Bluesh1te situation.   All this superiority complex from Stevie is sure to be upsetting the team.  We need to start acting like a team, if we are to start playing like a team on the pitch.  No one player is more important than the whole team.

We survived when Souness left and we can do it again if we have to.
