We didn't exactly have 17 mil and 20 mil to spend outright - Johnson was 8 mil as the rest was owed to us by Pompey and we all know that aquilani was bought in installments and add ons and we actually only gave Roma 10 or 15 mil euros .

Don't you start with your "someone needs to" b0ll0cks either cos I ain't in the mood. They always deny saying stuff, "it was taken out of context" and all that nonsense.

I don't really rate the fella, but he does put a shift in and I can see in our current predicament he could be quite useful if he gets his attitude right. He's like a few of them, he needs a fecking smoking off of the manager and sharpish.

Whether or not he's getting it or about to get it is the million dollar question.

He is alright like, his passing is ok, but he is no where near the level of Riera  on the left. What I like about him is that he is energetic and very determined

Agreed. We sold our only winger, our best wide player. As many of us will remember, Riera was a key player for us in 08/09. The following season he didn't get picked, publically dissed Rafa etc.. and from then his LFC career was effectively finished, and we are still short of a proper LW. The only attributes Jovanovic has on Riera are his dribbling ability and his work ethic. In terms of all-round ability, though, there is no comparison.

Terribly underated by many of our supporters.  Sure he had a loss of form in the last season, but who didn't.  Still remember how he tore Man U apart on his debut.

He did improve things 'slightly' when he came on at the weekend, but probably more because the balance was better as he is a genuine left sided player.
I am desperate for him to succeed as we have no one else in that position.
At least he was hungry for the ball when he came on, I cannot say that for other so called 'superstars'.

I think this lad deserves to play more. With his pace he would be a great sub for the last 25 minutes of each game. If he got to play on maxi's place for the last 20 minutes im confident we would have scored one more. If Roy doesnt plan on playing him , we should better ship him off in January , cause he earns something like 80 k per week.
