Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think Yova hasn't gotten a real chance to prove his quality ,he wan't impressive in the few games he did play but you could say that on each and anyone of our players this season. The lad has pace and very good ball control ,Roy must give him a chance to succeed or fail. It is one of the things i don't get with Roy ,let him play.

We have to give players time to adjust. If he has the potential, play him, if he's clearly not good enough then dont waste further time but we shouldnt rush to decisions. We need continuity this season when its likely we wont be bringing in expensive talent in january.

He's not good enough. Contribute nothing to the team. Mediocre at best.

Absolute woeeful. No pace, trickery, couldnt pick a pass. Come on Kenny, you gotta see past him and poulsen. Still keep the faith. But, im telling you all now, if roy had of put jova and poulsen in our starting 11 and of put johnson at lb, there would be uproar.

This is one of  the reason i feared. Kenny legendary status being tarnished.

Milan Jovanavic gives me hope that, even at 31 years old, I could still make it as a professional footballer.

Absolutely brutal

I think Jova deserves at least the same chance Babel/Lucas/Cole got. He hardly started any game this season and for some reason the Jury is already out on a lad which does has pace ,scored loads of goals before and has good ball control. I'm not saying he is performing as expected but for sure he didn't get the chance others have got.

Could be....but can easily be said on 7 more players in our team. I think he hasn't gotten the chance he deserved.

like I was saying (my post didn't show up lol), he is a terrible player, isn't quite intelligent, poor touch, can't beat a man and his final ball is simply terrible.

Sell, I don't know what Rafa saw in him  ???

Agree with those who think that he should be given a fair crack of the whip. Otherwise sell him in January.

To me he looks like another player (along with Maxi and Cole) who would be best deployed in a 3 playing off a single striker (Torres) with CM's behind them. Given he was really a Rafa signing maybe that is where Rafa would have seen him play had he still been in charge.

I can't see him leaving in January and with just a couple of weeks to go there isn't time to give him games and sell him if he doesn't impress the manager.

If someone offers money for him we should sell but I think that will be in the summer.

that actually sounds interesting.

a 4-2-3-1 with lucas and meireles in front of the back four, and an axis of maxi, gerrard and cole behind torres.

on occasion, jova could fill in for either maxi or cole. all three of them can play each other's position anyways.

You'll be telling me that Rafa signed Cisse next and could have "pulled the plug" on the 14 million pound fee if he'd wanted.

The club had the option to pull out. The lad even thought they had and was looking elsewhere if reports at the time are to be believed.
I`m sure its covered at the start of the thread, you only have to look back mate.
