I'm starting to think there's some truth in these rumours  :(

Hes not even in the squad today and the Talk Sport reporter at the Liberty Stadium is reporting that their are rumours coming out that he's played his last game for us. I know Talk Sport tends to be about as accurate as Stevie Wonder in an archery contest but it is very odd that Skrtel has not even got a place on the bench.

So, two years left on his contract. Offer him a new contract with payrise and release clause and ask him to commit for one more year, and then see if he still wants a move, or cash in on him now, and look to replace him with someone else?

What do you do?

If he'd been great for years, I think I would be inclined to let him go, as a faithful servant of the club, but there is a part of me that says you've only just arrived as the player Rafa and Kenny believed foresaw, and you owe us more time...

I wish players cared as much about the club as we did.

OK, so he is out of the game because of surgery:

Hopefully I'm jumping the gun!

good news, if true. He's been one of the few positives this season

it`s probably going to be a long summer for us regarding transfer rumours, because we arent in the champions league again all our good players will probably be linked with every side on the planet before the new season starts.
it would have been a big blow to lose skrtel, the defence looks sorted for next season and we dont want to have to try to fix one of the few area`s of the team thats not broken.

We need the likes of Skrtel Agger and Suarez to state they want to stay at the club apart from these 3 im confident about the rest. Im even Confident about Skrtel and Agger to be honest its just Suarez

Tony Barrett‏@TonyBarretTimes

Don't know where the rumours suggesting Martin Skrtel has submitted a transfer request are coming from. He definitely hasn't.

i thought he signed a new contract already till 2014,im not 100% sure but his original 4 1/2 year deal is almost up.
fairly sure though he has signed an extension.

its important that he stays seen as he's becoming one of our best and the new manager has to have players like him in the 1st team.we would be foolish to even entertain the thought of a sale.
