It may have been misintepreted  Saint , but the question put to Rafa was about it being record LFC fee paid for a defender. I assumed Rafa's response was about three CB's he'd been looking at

One of them was probably Ezequiel Garay. He's 21.

There was some talk of us being linked with Barcelona's Giovani Dos Santos, the mexican winger/striker dubbed 'the next ronaldinho' (although hardly the first or last). I think he could be the 19year old worth 16m.

Hmmm, intriguing. 

I heard the interview, but I can't remember exactly what was said.

I'm pretty certain he was referring to defenders, although I thought he actually said one was '14 million Euro's' - which would seem more realistic, as opposed to 40.

(14m Euros is approx £10.5m sterling).

I think he alluded to three players, one was probably Garay, I'm not sure about the others.

For 40M you don't buy Garay, but the whole Racing Santander team included the stadium (well maybe the stadium is too much ) . I don't think Garai would cost that kind of money when bought to a club like Racing. 14M was the price for what they sold the player that has scored most goals in their history yesteryear.
