I'd like to the same set of that players that played against Aston Villa yesterday.

We played well and the passing was good.

I'm gonna keep pushing for Robbie's involvement.... I'd really like to see us get after them instead of playing with a slow build-up type approach, I know it get's said constantly about English Clubs (and the National side) not playing with the tempo that we see in Premier League games, but why not? If it's worth a try against any team it's gotta be against Bordeaux???

Jesus not Zenden, we must do anything possible to prevent playing him, even if Gerrard breaks his leg get him out in a wheelchair.

More seriously Im sure Agger will play this game as Hyypia doesnt seem to be getting many back to back games this season as Rafa wants to get Agger a bit of experiance. Up front, who knows? I would like to see Crouch start but whatever lineup I want, Rafa never seems to agree.

My prediction:

                       Reina
Finnan        Agger        JC        Riise
Pennant     Gerrard    Alonso     Aurellio
                Fowler     Bellamy

:( Gerrard and Momo... doubtful?! nooo! i'd like to see Fowler and Crouch to start, bring Fowler back ! He's a great player, and he proved to us that he's still able to score the same old goals as he used to! I hope Gerrard's ok to start, if so he has to score! I predict overall 2 - 0 Gerrard and Fowler (if he starts)

Look at him yesterday! He missed, but if he had scored it would have been a typical Robbie Fowler goal, he's just what we need :)

If both Gerrard and Sissoko are out of the game. then i can see us being very weak down the middle with zenden. But is there any other options we can use ?

Feck me I finally get to go to Anfield for me fortieth birthday, involving a four and a half hour drive each way and probably about an hours sleep before me little lad comes in and jumps on my head on Wednesday morning, and the likelyhood is I'm going to get to watch Bolo fecking Zenden play central midfield for Liverpool  :D . I'll have to start rehearsing the answers to the inevitable "so how come that bloke ever got to play for Liverpool?" questions from my missus.

Although Zenden isn't a knotch on either Gerrard, Alonso or Sissoko. We should be able to accommodate the loss of Gerrard and Sissoko and play him ther instead. I really don't think its all bad news, he has actually looked quite good in reserves matches.

Considering we are at home also I feel rafa will employ a fairly attacking side against the minnows of the group. Something like:

                       Reina

  Finnan     Carragher     Agger     Riise

Pennant     Alonso     Zenden     Gonzales

                Crouch     Bellamy/Garcia
