Lawro is just bitter cause they dont make Insette hair lacker anymore.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

:D  at (Lawos a fu.ckin pr.ick who should just come out & admit he wants 2 su.ck Fergusons co.ck)

I agree i dont want to see torres rushed back either. I think he should be given a run in at the FA cup vs preston. Would be an ideal return. See how it goes.

2-0 Alonso and a late one from Torres because I think he's still to score at home and I want him to get one before 2009. :D
We've really missed his goals at home agaist so called smaller sides, hopefully that ends today.

Last few Matches against bolton at home.

2007/2008  Liverpool - Bolton 4:0
2006/2007  Liverpool - Bolton 3:0
2005/2006  Liverpool - Bolton 1:0
2004/2005  Liverpool - Bolton 1:0
2003/2004  Liverpool - Bolton 3:1
2002/2003  Liverpool - Bolton 2:0

Considering our history against bolton we should win this one but present performances at home will tell the story. Just hope we put in a good performance like the previous results against them. Bolton are playing above expectations this season. They have much better results on the travels, mostly as they adopt a defensive approach and try to take advantage of the opponents’ mistakes. I think they will keep it tight at and try not to allow too much space to our attacking players, while they will not have a lot of ambitions going forward. Most likely they will field a defensive 4-5-1 formation, and they will put all their hopes into outstanding Jussi Jaaskelainen. Boltons counterattacking style could be a problem so thus we will have to be cautious when going forward. But i feel we will crack into thier system and nick a few goals. I can't see them holding us all the way..

THE VIEW FROM THE REEBOK
Jimmy Rice 26 December 2008

Bolton fan Chris Finnegan provides the view from the Reebok ahead of our Boxing Day clash.
Liverpool V Bolton

How are you feeling about a trip to Anfield?

Away games against the top team in the league are always good for any travelling fan because of the hope that you can pinch some points against the odds - and you usually see some good football. You left a bitter taste in our mouths earlier in the season - if Rob Styles hadn't disallowed that goal it could have been different. It was the second controversial decision against us after Ronaldo's penalty at United.

What are your memories of playing us on Merseyside?

The last six trips to Liverpool have all seen Bolton come home with nothing to show for their efforts on the field. Having said that, I love going to Anfield - the atmosphere can be the most passionate around.

How will Gary Megson play it?

I would hope to see him put out a team with a strong midfield but I have no idea how he'll go into the game. All I can say is that he is doing well at the minute. It was great to see him win Manager of the Month for November - well deserved after some good results. The fans seem to be backing him a lot more - any critics have been hushed by the performances of the team. I think that's also helped him make more positive decisions during matches.

Who are your form players?

Johan Elmander has finally found his feet. The last time we spoke he was not doing too well. He was under pressure from the fans and was facing losing his place for Sweden. But lately he's got some crucial goals and he's definitely one to watch - like I predicted in pre-season. Matt Taylor is in fine form and Ricardo Gardener is making a great impact in midfield. Finally, Andy O'Brien is a vital part of the Bolton defence.

What can we expect from the travelling supporters?

We always make a lot of noise. A win at home against Portsmouth and all the festive cheer will mean we'll have no problem letting you know we're there.

Anyone you're worried about?

Dirk Kuyt is a great player - I'm always worried about him. And Robbie Keane - he showed against Arsenal what a huge threat he can be up front.

If you were putting a Christmas tenner on it?

I would probably go with a Liverpool win following the results from the last few trips to Anfield, but you never know - anything can happen in football.

Wait, what?

Good news on torres being back , now all we need is skrtel . I think we should give young stephen darby a chance as the kids got talent and the only way he will improve if he gets experience playing matches like this , i would play darby but davies is strong in the air so rafa has a tough decision to make play carra at right back and hypia with agger in the middle or give darby the chance .

Reina

Darby/Carra        Agger        Carragher/Hypia         Insua

Gerrard              Alonso              Masch               Riera

                        Keane               Kuyt

Looks like arbeloa is out......... Anyone think Kuyt can do a decent job at rightback..... . :p

Bolton are gonna park the bus...so we need more attacking players. This would be my team.

                     Reina
    Carra    Agger   Hyppia Dossena
                 Mash Alonso
        Babel                      Reira
                     Gerrard
                       Keane

- Babel ahead of Kuyt
- Dossena....you know benitez is gonna pick Dossena becos he didn't play the previous game....

lets go liverpoooool....
boxing day baby !

this would be my lineup.. home game.. we'v struggled playing  upfront.. lets try 2 today,,

                               Reina

Carragh          Hyypia             Agger          Insua

Elzhar            Gerrard            Alonso          Riera

                     Kuyt               Keane

wouldnt mind Babel upfront instead of Kuyt... just need to flood the area as much as we can and Kuyt edges it just a little with his heading.. dont think we'll have much space for Babel to work with so ...yea..
would have started Darby at rightback but think we cant afford mistakes in a game like this... hope hes in the bench and makes an appearance if we'r up @ 60 mins or so by 2 or more...

anyhow.... lets go out and attack from the start..get an early lead... that would be perfect.. 2-0 we gotta beat em baastars ! Keane needs to get 1 and not go off...ffs rafa

No thanks. Maybe once we are a few goals up to the good then bring Babel on but otherwise he shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

If probabaly leave Hyypia out as well and start Darby at RB.
