Merry Christmas dudes and dudettes......  :D  Hope all your christmas wishes come true.....

Now lets get back to business. We have blackburn...a team we should be able to beat if the players just give 100%.....

I can't believe i am saying this, but i hope rafa makes some changes to the team. This is the team i would play.

                     Reina
    Finnan    Carra   Hyppia   Riise
    Pennant   Gerrard  Alonso   Gonzales
             Bellamy
                             Crouch

I would take a dull 1-0 win.....

A tough one this - will be overjoyed if we win.
We couldn't beat these at Anfield not long ago.

Would love us to keep the consecutive clean sheets going.

I dont care what the score or what the performance is like just as long as we get the threee points.

Ill be there supporting the team and im guessing that 8000 others will also be there in fine voice.   Looking forward to this one and have been for some time.  Its as close to an away home game as they come if you know what i mean.

very hard game... i think we will be held up to a 1-1 draw or so..
blackburn have a strong squad and are a hard side to beat..
if we bring in too many new players to the starting line-up, i think we risk losing the game.
Rafa probably knows that and will probably try to make minimal changes to our starting 11...
my starting lineup would be:

                         Reina

Finnan     Carragher     Hyypia      Riise

pennant    gerrard        alonso      gonzalez

                 Crouch      Bellamy

Toughest match we've got left away from Anfield.

If we win it, we'll finish above the scum. Bet you.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rafa didn't pick Gerrard if he was fit anyway. He always springs a surprise somewhere down the road. Heck i wouldn't be surprised if he played Reina as centre forward, Carra at left mid and brought Diao back as midfield coach (ok maybe i'd be a little surprised at that 1 :;):)) heres the team i would pick

                                  Reina
   Finnan         Hyypia                Carra              Riise
   Pennant       Alonso                Gerrard           Gonzales
                              Bellamy
                                         Crouch

It's going to be a tough game, and with Benni McCarthy back for them, I worry that one of Reina's lapses, happening a bit too frequent for my liking lately, would give McCarthy the chance he needs to pounce and score a decisive goal.

I don't really mind any kind of a win, as long as our playing personnel come out unscathed, a bit difficult as this is Blackburn Rovers who play the trademark Mark Hughes-esque bruising football - this is the kind of rough and robust football he used to be his game during his playing career.

I think we'll win.

Maybe 0-1.

What pisses me off is that we are winning games and Chelsea are barely scraping victories.

If Chelsea's opposition showed a little more concentration until the 90 mins were over, we could have closed the gap on them.

i guess thats what spending all that money gets you, many players capable of pulling a rabbit out of the hat when the chips are down.

Tricky one to call this but i dont see us getting beat, alot of games coming up but we need to keep pressing so barring injuries i would stick to the same line-up.

Like most of you have predicted Blackburn are tough oppenents. Not overly confident on this one but we will have to wait and see.

Think this would be a tight game. So using Fowler to create space and openings might be the way to go with Bellamy's pace up with him
