Good, we should be sending any youngster over the age of 19 with any talent out to someone to get some first team football

Certainly going to keep an interest in how he does - got very high hopes for him, think he is massively talented

Looks like he is doing well. It'll be good to have more options for the first team, especially from the academy.

I was really surprised that he didn't feature for us at all this season. Hopefully next season will be his season.

Very good debut tonight...could be a massive player for us in the run in and especially in the coming seasons

I thought he looked quality and played with confidence. Look forward to seeing more of him.

A glimpse of what he has to offer and looked decent, does make you wonder why Alberto was signed as they look very similar in style.

Very similar to Suso I thought, although he looked as if he had better scoring ability.

I would not be surprised if Suso returns from loan and Teixeira gets loaned out for next season.

I think all these young players on the fringe of the squad have to try and copy sterling, Raheem despite being a pacy, skillfull winger is one of the best defensive players in the side (in terms of pressing and work rate he's up there with hendo).
Thats the challenge for the likes of Tex, Suso and co. Can they add industry and defensive responsibility to their undoubted talent.

was surprised but delighted to see him come on, he did very well and looks really composed on the ball. just hope he gets a bit more playing time instead of vanishing for 6 months.

yeah thought the same, bit of a ringer for the lad as well.
tbh id keep both of them here next season as hopefully we will be flat out on all 4 fronts. in the league cup id like to see a side with all our young hopefuls in it to see what they can do.

Joao is ahead of Suso for defensive team work and ethic. For our reserves he was always getting stuck and winning the ball back. He's far more suited to the Premier League than Alberto for me (though I think he'll come good if given time..). I'm really surprised it's taken this long for Joao to get given his debut he is the best youngster in the Ressie's by far now that Sterling and Suso don't feature.

Gone on loan to Brighton. Considering he'll be managed by Sami, this is a good move.

On loan Liverpool youngster, Joao Teixiera has just put Sami Hyypia's Brighton 1-0 up away at Leeds.
