Teixeira training with the first team again this week

hopefully rodgers will give him a few run outs from here on in.

he does look a class act but it`s also worth remembering that he`s not long returned from a back injury that was serious enough to threaten his career (he was in a back brace for months).
i think it`s great that he`s training with the first team squad but from what i`ve seen of him on LFCTV i dont think he`s quite ready yet to cope with the physical demands of a premiership game.
in terms of making his debut i think next season is probably a bit more of a realistic time frame.

I think they are managing him perfectly. He’s playing regularly for the U21 but getting plenty of opportunities to train at a higher level with the first team. The reserve season finishes before the Premiership season so he might get an opportunity towards the end of the season if he impresses in training but more than likely he’ll get a chance to stake a claim in pre-season.

If he maintains his progression , I reckon he will force his way into the squad ,Rodgers seems to reward ability ,and good form with a place on the bench.

I expect Rodgers will play Alberto given he shelled out a fair whack for the kid ,but Teixeira is the real deal ,he had some niggling injuries when he
first joined ,but I would assume now he's playing in the manner he is, then it wont be long before he catches the managers eye.
