this is getting ridiculous, how much more can they even extend Anfield anyway? everyone Liverpool fan loves Anfield but surely we all accept that building a new Stadium with a large capacity is key us  progressing in the future, it just has to be done

Adding two extra tiers could increase the capacity to close to 65 thousand plus add in corporate facilities which could double our match day income

Why? If a new stadium is going to cost £300m for an extra 15,000-20,000 seats, who's to say that expanding and renovating Anfield, and preserving a key part of the club's identity in so doing, won't be a better option? As a supporter, it's what I would prefer to see and from FSGs point of view, it'll make sense if it's in the club's financial interests.

It all comes down to what the most cost effective measure is, the only reason we're needing to build a potential new stadium is to increase revenue to compete with the other elite clubs so if we can do the same at Anfield for a fraction of the price AND remain at our legendary spiritual home I dont understand why anyone would contemplate moving across the park.

Do you think they'll expand a separate side of the ground each season over four years? Seems like the club would take a big hit in the wallet that way.

I think their supporters would let the city of Liverpool become a smoking hole in the ground before they let the Reds share their stadium for a season.

i`m being serious, we`d obviously have to compensate them because their pitch will get battered with so many games being played on it but we could do that for a season without losing a dramatic amount of revenue, goodison holds basically 40,000.
