Do you think that 60,000 seats is enough for the new stadium?

Well it's certainly an improvement on the 44,000 we have at the moment.

I admit I sometimes worry that we will be able to fill it, but I think cheaper tickets are probably the answer. (Not that such a thing would happen. Build a stadium and release cheaper tickets? Never!)

We actually sell out fairly well for Prem games. There are gaps, usually where the Stewards are separating the home from away fans. But our cup attendance is dismal. There are few that would wish to sit in a cold, damp, windy stadium past 8pm at night instead of a slap-up meal for one. Because that's the price Liverpool charge, and I know where I'd rather be. Warm and full.

I'm not saying we have to compete with the scum but they are looking to expand Old Trafford to about 75,000, surely we could fill 70,000 :;):

I was thinkin we could share with Everton but their sell out crowds are about 20,000, we could sell Anfield back to them  :p

For now it is enough, if prices keep going up then i believe you could see a fall in attendances like what happened in italy. So a 80000 stadium would be ****** with only 40000 in i, 60000 ouldn't be so bad. But im sure the planners will design the stadium with the option of building up if needed. A great team will fill any stadium in the world so thats what we have to aim for

to be fair to the blue noses, despite the fact they are ******, they do have a good following, and sell out most weeks.

I personally would prefer to see a new stadium full of 60K fans than a new one half empty looking with a 75K capacity.

The week day games are a big problem cus most of the wools and stuff wont travel for night games thru the week, even if they are season ticket holders. There is a woll by our Kid in the Kop, and he gives our kid his ticket on a Saturday if there is a week day game, cus he simply wont travel.

Weekday games will always be the same for most clubs who attract support from outside the city limits, and we have plenty of them.

I understand it will be extendable, so why not do the 60K, and when we play better and all the glory hunters come back out, we can thrtow another 10K seats in there.

I think its a lot of money just to get an extra say 10-12000 in the stadium, if we are going to spend a fortune on a stadium should be increasing the capacity to at least 65k (at not much extra cost) if we are looking to compete with the income Manure receives from their crowds.
Think the most Anfield can be expanded to is 55k, only 5000 less than a whole new stadium (which wont have the Kop :( )

If we fill out the new stadium week in week out then there will be room for increasing the capacity.

The stadium has actually been approved lad, visit the local rag website, icliverpool.co.uk or something like that for the latest news on LFC.

The new Stadium is not the best idea to come out of LFC. Costs too much at £120m, poor design that can not be easily expanded, someone is on an ego trip here with the New Stadium.
