Stadium where and when - Where when

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

amid all the understandable focus on the personnel changes at lfc the really important issue seems to be fading into the background . when and where for our 21 st century football arena.firstly where?. with people like coucillor joseph kenny  making the case for anfield walton being paradise on earth and  as such there is no need for any improvement  to any aspect of the area . he must be an evertonian joker.as i suspect he is. Secondly when ? Steve morgan is in bricks and cement and cash turn the whole project over to him and his assossiates. They wont do LFC down and his love of the shirt whereever it takes us will provide the scene for many future historical triumphs starting with champions league winners 2005

Stanley park is surely the only possible option unless we become tennants at Goodison for a year an a half which I personally think is a sacrifice worth making if we build on the current site and don't listen to the bull, the site is big enough if they introduced underground parking and amenities which many top class American stadiums have then it becomes not only possible but a reality.  The current stands are overly bulky on the outside they are not as uniform as many grounds, Obviously You cant build a Nou camp or Santiago Bernabi but Ajax but Just look North to Parkhead and yo'll see a potential 75,000 seater on similar space.  They do have more sapce outside the ground, but underground development would compensate adequately

Is it really impossible for them to buy up houses around the ground? They could build new houses for the residents(stanley park maybe?) and give themselves a much bigger area to build on.They could leave the Kop as it is and build three new massive stands around it.

Its not clear what is the future of the next pitch  the next coach will be urging his selections to go forth and win a match from. however   where ever this piece of turf is it is a billion miles beter than the present location  for example last game in front of kop beaten by norwich city shame!  as  robertzimmerman might have said the times they are a  a changing

Last game in front of the Kop was Newcastle 1-1, unless they have renamed the stand and forgotten to change it on my season ticket the last ten years.
