I would make him cut his hair

And I think he is carrying £70,000 pounds too much every week  :)

I think his hairs lovely   :D

The problem with him is because Hodgson is building his tactics around the poorest bits of our players game, and johnson isnt very good at defending, an he's struggling big time. It's no coincidence that his downturn in form has coincided with the onset of negative, methodical go back to your stations football. His confidence is shot and he's now struggling with the attacking side of his game aswell now with Raul on the right instead of Kuyt covering for him. Everyone in the team is making mistakes because it's not natural to them, and they're better players than what they're being asked to do.

In fairness Lynds his form has been in terminal decline for over a year now. e started with a hiss and a roar in a Liverpool shirt, but he's gone backwards. I do agree though that he's never as good defensively as he is bombing, and asking us to sit in doesn't do him any favours.

Hasnt really been the same since getting booed by the England fans, but has been our best attacking player in a lot of games, Id have Kelly behind him and him on the right wing.

The best we have seen of Johnson when we used to play higher up the pitch and press when we didn't have the ball. Unfortunately, I agree with most, that sitting deep and inviting the opposition does not suit him and it isn't getting the best out of him.

He can be a very good player

I stand by what I said a couple of pages back....

Average. In his case we definitely haven't got what we paid for.

He was woeful against Blackpool and hasn't had a good start to the season but that doesn't make him sh!t. The fact that Torres has scored 1 in 9 or whatever doesn't make him sh!t either. We bought him predominantly as an attacking full back and we know what he can do on that front, but guess what? We don't attack. We sit back, we concede territory and possession to the opposition and you're not going to see the best of an attacking full back with those tactics. Seeing as Kuyt/Meireles have been rubbish on the right of midfield, we may as well give Johnson a try there and get a conventional defender in at RB, Kelly.

Johnsons isn't Sh!t, as a fullback he is average. He isn't the best there is, but he isn't the worst either. In fairness to me ( :D ) I have never rated him above average at any club he has been at. He is over rated as he is English, and plays for England.

He's been awful this season sadly, he can be a key player for us but his confidence doesn't seem to be there atm.  No one is confident right now.

Cannot remember the last time he had a good game and has been pitiful this season.
England's right back? £17 million?

I agree it is worth playing him in front of Kelly, but that said I know Blackpool team pretty well as I live in the area, their weaklink is the left back Crainey, extremely slow.
Johnson had countless chances and acres of space against him but never once delivered a decent cross or put him under the pressure he should have.

He was also beaten for pace by Charlie Adam! Their slowest player. Dear me, he is absolutley shocking at the moment.

we had our best performance in ages without him, but with a player whom was brought in to be 4th choice.
Johnson is being such a liability and if we're able to recoup the money spent on him, sell him.
and unless he plans to have a haircut, he should consider changing his name to Glenda.

Johnson is sh.it at defending.  Either sell him or give him a shot at RM.
