Crouch cannot head the ball

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

After watching crouch in actions for the past 2 seasons, one feels that he has been heading more balls to the goalkeeper than into the net.

I still say we sell him. His lack of pace will become a liability in a few seasons time when he gets older

Well, I think his slight touch of the ball in the first goal was deccissive so that one of their defenders -cannot be ársed to know who he was- was caught on the wrong foot.

Very useful player.

Crouch's heading ability is a weird one.  He is quite good at picking someone out with his bonce when there is no need for him to purchase any power on his headers.  BUT and a big BUT if he needs to try to generate power onto his headers he is useless.

yes, he cant get any power in his headers from a standing start, he is ok when he comes onto the ball, but when he jumps without any run he has no strength in his neck

i was laugin my :censored: off when he missed that rebound ...... he really really needs to work on his header..if his header is good...he'll be fantastic..he needs to do some neck exercise that the goalkeepers work on...take up some exercise lessons with pepe :p

garcia is a good header of the ball mate for his size, but then so was keegan, maybe they have more strengh, can whip their bodies so to speak, to be fair crouch looks like he has no mucle mass whatsoever

Xabi ALonso has no pace at all.

He's slow. End of.

Gizza a player who can play at the pace of the EPL

And Hyypia is old. If after a 2-0 win we must read people doubting our players, it's not amazing to read what we read when we lose a match.

Fortunately enough Anfield and it's crowd is another story, Anfield truly supports the player. They sing the Luis Garcia song, they whisper of admiration when Reina distributes the ball with the hand creating a counterattack, they defend and sing Peter Crouch's song, it has nothing to do with the forums.

And that's why it's the best crowd of the world.
