I think we could have our eyes set on taking 3rd and get automatic qualification

every game is a final for us now. no such thing as given, fulham managed to draw manure, norwich drew mancity and west ham drew chelsea. less than 15 games to go, we need to treat every game like its a final.

We have to win the next 12 games to win the league.

I know they won 4-0 but Newcastle were awful. They are in the mix but they have some tough fixtures also. We need to have a big gap on them after we play them as we would then still have Chelsea and City and they will have played all the tough teams. I still think it is ours to lose, the win at Fulham was huge!

I think we'll need more than 6 wins out our last 12 games to get in the CL, that theory probably works most of the time but this season is the tightest in years. How the hell spurs are only 3 points behind us I'll never know.

They had a lot of 1-0 wins early season with dodgy pens

The theory is 21 wins that is why I said six more wins for safety's sake and not five. I think it is so tight but with big matches still to play and European nights hangovers for the other teams our chances are good. It may not be Spurs we are fighting it out with it may be Arsenal, Chelsea or City for third or second or dare we dream FIRST! I have not felt this good about the team in years!

I also think that we need 6 more wins to secure a CL spot but it also depends on whether we'll lose or draw those other 6 games. It would be more accurate if we count in points. IMO we can afford to lose 15 more points out of 12 games left. That's 6 wins 3 loses and 3 draws (there can be other combinations as well) out of 12 remaining games (provided that we also beat Spurs).

As for the title, I think that we can only afford to lose 5 points at best while we have to beat both City and Chelsea. Even that might not be enough.
