wow.... didnt realise their home record was that good...

though that means they must be utter shi.te away then considering they never make it very far!

Agree they would be a tough propostion but it would be a great match, a big occasion (battle of Britain and all that and after limping out to Benfica last time out i'd rather see a BIG game.

I want Real Madrid, Inter or Barcelona in the next round.

To get the crowd excited we need big teams, I want Anfield to be rocking again and the only way it will is if we get a top top team.

Also because were top of the group we play the 2nd leg at home. Very Very Important.

I would love to get Real or Inter and beat them.

Especially since one of my mates is from Italy and has supported Inter all his life.

thing is, when we do actually draw RM in the next phase and Chelsea pull out the likes of AEK.  All hell will break loose!  :D

but yeah, they all want beating eventually if you are to win the thing.....bring 'em on!  :buttrock

The only threat to us in the Champions League is Lyon.

they're not the only threat, though they are extremely strong. - in truth, over the last couple of seasons they've come up on the rails. I'd consider them easily on a par with RM,BM,Inter,AC etc - ill stop there.  Houllier has admirably continued Le Guens stirling work. and i suspect, it'll only be a matter of time until Olympique Lyonnais are crowned Champions of Europe. But like i said...Count Liverpool out at your peril..... :;):

I would love AC Milan.  shame they aint finishing 2nd.  That team is ageing quick and Ancoletti has lost the plot.  He needs sacking.  Dreadful in the league and its a crises at Milan.  Kaka keeps that team going and shevchenko hasnt been replaced.  They want Rijkaard but he would only go at the end of the season.

Morientes will pick up the leading goalscorers accolade, with the goals he's banging in for Valencia. I bet when he launches his own autobiography, he'll admit moving to Liverpool was his biggest regret in football. I don't get why people are getting so excited by Real Madrid, they are a shadow of what they were four years ago and Lyon played at second gear against them and beat them.
