Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Radio 5 live said last night that Liverpool have been offerd 14mill for him, the offer was not from Villa who offer of 11mil looks like being taken up by Liverpool.

Sod Villa, 14mill, take it now.

I like the guy, he is a very good keeper but its a shame he come to the team when he did.

Was it Spurs or Man City lakes? I have heard that both are interested in him.

I think he is a good keeper that will only get better. Eleven million is good money considering what we paid so I guess it is good luck and thanks for the memories.

14m is ludicrous money. i'd carry him to his destination for that price.

14m might probably includes loads of clauses: international bonuses etc etc but the 11m might be all up front, in which case id take the 11

Just imagine if he plays on Wednesday and makes a couple of eyecatching saves.

£14m is absolutely shocking money for the guy. I have nothing against him, and I do actually believe he's a fairly tidy keeper, but - f*cking hell - we paid £6m for Reina just over 2 years ago and people thought that was a bit much.

Is anyone seriously telling me there aren't better keepers available for under £14m?

Is he likely to play wednesday ?

If he is lets hope he doesnt have a nightmare. If like you said he plays and performs well it could seriously inflate his price tag even more. We all know how OTT prices can get when the player is a highly rated England international.

I have said all along i dont really rate him. He is half decent and a good shot stopper, but so are most keepers.
He is not the best at dealing with crosses and also gets beaten from distance too easily for my liking. He will obviously improve but right now his stock is very high and it could be an ideal time to sell.
Robinson at Spurs has helped us as well. By being so poor he is making any english keeper who is half decent look even better.

Well England have conceded FOUR goals in this campaign, all in defeat. TWO directly blamable on Misses Robinson and one on Rooney - both would until recently have appeared "undroppable". What exactly McClueless could have gleaned from a friendly against 1 win in 10 Austria I don't know
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Here's hoping he keeps a clean sheet tonight.

A penalty save would go down a treat. :p
