fact is he got rid of bellamy, kuyt, carroll, maxi.........ok maxi aint a striker but the guy has goals in him (and only replacing those 4 goal threats with borini)
our current team only suarez has goals in him these days

Listen.
Both Bellamy and Maxi fit the style that Rodgers employs, Carroll and Kuyt don't.
But the fact of the matter is Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyt all requested transfers. They wanted to leave, they were not ousted by Rodgers.

The squad was stripped bare in the summer and we recruited 3 players for £30m when we
actually needed at least twice that number at a minimum.
You can achieve some success without money but its a hell of a long way around, and unless
FSG decide to start throwing a few bob to upgrade this team quicker its going to a slog for
us all.
I like Rodgers, and I think we have some terrific young players, and for me any blame flying
around should be aimed at the owners for not showing enough ambition or backing their
man in the summer.
I realise having a dig at FSG is never popular, but whilst I understand they do not want to
put the club in financial peril again its my opinion that owners need the passion and heart
to help their club out with their own money, and if that is not the case then they really
should not be involved in the game at all.
If you buy a club you owe it to yourself and the people to at least have some part of you
in love with the game enough to go beyond just running a club in on budget every year.
Surely there is responsibilty to have passion on some level otherwise I really do not see
why FSG bothered at all, well apart from the $$$$$

i dont go along with this theory that carroll doesnt suit rodgers philosophy. our patient passing style is great for possession stats but it allows defences to get set and 9 times out of 10 our passing moves just end up with us crossing the ball into a couple of 5 foot seven forwards anyway. we actually need a presence in there.
all this he`s not mobile enough for this pressing game is pie in the sky too, winning the ball back off defenders was one of carroll`s strengths. we are not doing anything as a team that carroll couldnt cope with.
he`d certainly give defenders more trouble than the likes of yesil, pacheco, morgan and borini who have all led the line for us this season.
