Luis Suarez signs for Barcelona

I know he scored today, but f*ck me, i wish he'd stop diving and, crying his eyes out every 5 mins.  The sole reason he didn't get that (genuine) penalty today was because every ref in the country knows his reputation for throwing himself to the floor every 5 mins.  Sort it out lad, FFS

The most predominant  reason no decisions are falling in our favour is due to Suarez diving  .....Seriously ?
The FA are rapping us on our knuckles for our considerably less than the anticipated subservient response
to the 'frugal with the truth ' ones claims about Suarez .

No, said the reason Suarez didnt get the penalty yesterday is down to the fact that he's got a reputation for diving. He does it all the time now, along with the waving of imaginary yellow cards.
It’s embarrassing, quite frankly.

We concur, its not exactly a selling point when describing his ability .

There seems to be a double standard in the English game, where by 'the foreigner' when dives is immediately set upon by rival supporters, rival managers and referees become suspicious about the particular player in question, yet time and time again this season I have seen Ashley Young dive. No manager has come out and slammed Ashley Young for his antics, yet managers like Moyes and Ferguson line up to take a pot shot at Luis Suarez. Luis is branded the 'dirty foreign diver', while Ashley Young is branded one of England's best players in the media and you can bet your horse and cart that managers like Moyes wind their neck in around Manchester United. Referees seem more than happy to lend Ashley Young a hand, by incorrectly ruling him onside and handing him and his team a penalty for a piece of simulation that made Carroll's nosedive against Newcastle seem genuine.

I agree with posters who say that Luis Suarez's diving antics are appalling to watch, I don't like seeing any simulation in football matches, but I don't blame Suarez for going to ground because some many other players do it and players like Ashley Young seem to nearly always gain a much welcomed advantage from doing so. Unfortunately for Suarez he is a marked man because the appeasers in the Football Association like to keep Mr Ferguson on side. It seems that many people in football are scared of the wily old man with the purple nose and ridiculous spectacles.

Diving is an accepted part of football in this country. We see all the moans and protests but nothing is really done about it.
If clubs were so aggrieved and upset they would punish their own divers to show how much they were against it. But thats not going to happen is it?
Imagine purple nose saying "Ashley Young is a diving tw@t who got us a penalty and a man sent off, and even though that virtually won the game for us he is banned by the club for the next three matches"

Ashley Young's deception could cost QPR a place in the Premier League. You can argue that QPR aren't worthy of being in the league and the league table doesn't lie, but the incident at Fulham and the incident at QPR effectively has handed Manchester United the league title.

So because he plays for us so we should condone blatant diving? If we were to be knocked out of a European Cup final down to a penalty given for a dive against us I'm sure people would be banging on about that for ages. Yes he is a quality player, but his play acting needs to go. If he is that good then he should stay on his feet instead of looking for a tumble.

Don't mind the moaning ....very Bellamy esque!
But the diving is costing us decisions as refs will give the defenders the benefit of the doubt due to the reputation of Suarez.

I don't condone it but people have a double standard when it comes to certain players. Gerrard for example have dived plenty of times but would never get hounded like Suarez.

Personally I get more annoyed about players that try to dive and then moan about it.

Unplayable second half. MOTM. :bowdown

The bitters defence were sh't scared everytime he got the ball... never seen so many players back off.

We have to build our attack around this guy.

Totally agree. He got fouled a lot and caused all kinds of trouble to defenders. Luis is smart as he needs to protect himself in some way. You can see so much fight in him and if he is playing Mr. Gentleman, the opponents would take advantage of that. This is professional football and players got paid to win at all cost. Other fans hated him as he is just so good and that's why other team and manager kept saying he is a diver just to keep him off his game. I don't think he is any worse than other strikers in the league. If he is in another team, those fans would be adored Luis rather than slagging him. The Press just had a personal agenda against LFC as always, so, don't buy into Luis is a diver crab.
