He laid in Maxi for a sitter.

Luis Suarez is a world class player. I dont think its so much a case of him not trusting Carroll, its that the geordie is never in position that Maxi got into.

Suarez needs a partner with an awareness but also mobility.

Give it a f***ing rest!!!!!! You climbed up on the bandwagon just to b*tch some more?

Luis Suarez says Liverpool FC will emerge stronger after their poor recent league run

LUIS SUAREZ believes Liverpool’s recent Premier League struggles will help galvanise the club in the long-run, and says cup triumphs will ensure the Reds’ season is remembered as a success.

The Uruguayan played a starring role in helping Kenny Dalglish’s side secure a place in next month’s FA Cup final with Chelsea, scoring as they defeated Everton 2-1 in their semi-final clash at Wembley on Sunday.

It took his tally to 14 for the season, though the former Ajax man has been as affected as any by the Reds’ recent league slump, which saw them endure a run of six defeats in seven games, their worst sequence for 59 years.

A win at Blackburn, with 10 men, last week signalled that fortunes were changing at Anfield.

Their cup triumph over their Merseyside rivals should only boost confidence.

Suarez believes that, having endured such adversity, Liverpool will emerge stronger for it, and says Dalglish’s squad has bonded together during their rough spell.

“All clubs, teams and players go through good runs and bad runs,” he said. “That is football.

“No team has success after success. Even the very best of all time have bad periods, but it is how they react that defines them."

*More on LFC: Kenny Dalglish says Liverpool FC must come back down to earth as they prepare to return to Premier League action this weekend

“You are bound to enjoy picking up trophies and medals, of course you are. But you learn most about one another during a bad patch, you learn how to stick together even more.

“If you react in the right way and support each other, adversity can be a good thing in the long run because you become stronger.

“We recognise that (our) league form has not been at the level that it should be. But it is always important to analyse the season as a whole, when the final ball has been kicked, rather than when there are games to play.”

Suarez has also paid tribute to the support of manager Kenny Dalglish, who stood by the striker during his high-profile FA disciplinary row earlier in the campaign.

He said: “Apart from the fact that he was the person that signed me, I appreciate the fact that I’ve always felt that I’ve had 100 per cent backing from Kenny Dalglish.

“This is very important for any footballer. (Dalglish) understands me as a player and as a person. He knows what I can do and that I will always give everything for the team on the field.”

He added: “Importantly, because he was a striker himself, if there are things I need to put right, he tries to help me by giving advice.

“I always take it in the right manner because I respect the fact that he played in the same position as me and is one of the greatest, if not the greatest player, in the club’s history.”

we're still asking him to do way too much imo. we're almost expecting him to be our main creative outlet and main goalscorer at the same time.  even messi needs players alongside him to take some of the weight off his shoulders.

yesterday was more of the same. some of his skill and approach play was just sublime but his final product left a lot to be desired.

just glad he's going to get the summer off as he's been playing virtually non stop for 2 years.

To be fair there were times yesterday when he was too selfish and greedy. Others were in better positions but he didnt see or didnt want to pass.

True enough, but he also created more than enough chances for our other players to get at least one goal. Suarez was at the center of everything we created in that match and had a good number of crosses that should have led to more chances if we had players running into the box. I cant fault him for beeing selfish sometimes when the rest of the team keeps wasting the chances he creates for them.

If we still had the Torres of old i dont think he would be anywhere near as selfish as he seems to be now, and he would probably find it easier to get space to get some better shots for himself as well. Just watch some matches where he plays for uruguay.

again... Luis Suarez is a world class player.

Build our team around this guy with quality players around him who are good on the floor and we will go places.

The mistake Comolli made was not doing so, and he paid for it.

What a player.

He had space,he actually for once had some luck but most of all he had SG playing in the position he favoured when Nando was at his best.Don't change it for the final Kenny except for Scaretul !!

Whenever we get ourselves a top player I am naturally quite happy but this time I am restraining myself a bit. Part of me thinks that we are going to go down the same old route of only spending money on a few decent players and throwing in average players which eventually manifests in the good players leaving as we have seen. I think Suarez is a world class player but unless we surround him with players of equal ability then it won't be long before someone comes in for him.

Its a definite concern... he belongs in the CL, and surrounded with top class players.

Its why the next batch of signings have to be better as we have to match his aspirations.

Hes one of the best creative forwards in the world. He creats mayhem everytime he gets the ball. If we had a Soldado, a clinical #9 alongside, we would be out of sight in umpteen games this season.
