And for those who dont tough s.hit  :D

So we kick-off our campaign in Frankfurt against a Paraguay team unbe known to me really. Apart from Santa Cruz they dont really have any "stars" so to speak. But I think they finished 3rd ? in the S.American qualifiers.

Anyway as long as the boys dont get stage fright and can quickly get into a rythm I think we will run out comfortable winners. I dont think Paraguay will be underestimated by our lads and 2-0, no injuries that would be a perfect start.
It will be interesting to see how Fat Frank and StevieG pair up in midfield. Obviously with Fat Franks lack of defensive sense Stevie will be restricted in what he can do    :veryangry . It will also be good to see how Crouch does aswell, I think Sven will play a 4-4-2 and play Crouch upfront with Owen. Owen didnt look to happy playing uptop alone and he definatley needs someone to play alongside.

As an Englishman I always get caught up in the hysteria and expectations that go with the WC. Anyway the WC will officially be underway for England soon and I cant wait.

If the lads dont get to excited by playing at this level then i can see a very comfortable win for the lads. The lampard Gerrard partnership will be put to the test against the likes of Brazil, Argentina,Germany etc so the games against Paraguay and T&T we should be looking at the best and most effective way our midfeild works best

I can't wait, Good to see Crouh is going to start, I think we will be a very awkward player for teams to handle. I still think we need a holding player in there. I'm not fond of this Gerrard and Lampard partnership, Lampard has no place in the England team in my eyes, it should be Gerrard & Carrick, even so that's not the case and Lampard is playing and Lampard shall get my full support.

I hope Rio doesn't mess up. I'm hoping he has a blinder and I also hoping that the ball doesn't swerve in mid air against us.  :(

But I'm confidence we can win.... :)

They are not Jamaica, nor Hungary. It's possible it's a 1-0 game, they're not easy to beat, although they have not much reputation.

I'm not saying they are Sabre, they do pose a big threat and they are respected by me. However I'm confident we can beat them. I'm not saying we'll thump them 4-1. But I reckon we can win 1-0, maybe even 2-0.

I can see England winning comfortably today, by at least 2 goals as long as Sven forgets about playing a holding midfielder and goes with Crouch and Owen up front.  Whether this system will work against the better sides I'm not sure (Gerrard and Lampard doesn't work in the big games imo), but it should easily be good enough to see off Paraguay.

From BBC SPORT

The main newspaper in Paraguay leads its coverage with Crouch, saying "England are not just about Peter Crouch". I spoke to the Paraguay coach recently and they are especially worried by the Liverpool striker.
BBC Sport Online columnist Tim Vickeray speaking on Five Live Sport.

  Crouch is the one they fear most from our team!

Shows they havent prepared well for this game, its like they only saw the 6-0 win against jamaica and saw crouchys hattrick and now they think hes our biggest threat which to be fair no matter how well hes played, he isnt

the reason they fear him tho is becasue there tallest defender is like 5ft8 or something and they have never trained against a lad whos 6ft7 so its all new to them.

we will win this comfortably id like to think

People say that they have a solid defence. But 1 or 2-0 Eng. is a normal score i think

Yeh ref is going a bit mad with the cards and is too strict imo, he is breaking up the flow of the game.
