It may be embarrassing to you, but to me it's about performing, not just technical ability. The current England team has some great technical players, Cole, Rooney, Gerrard, Ferdinand, A. cole. It's about a blend of characteristics that determine whether or not you will succeed. I was less embarressed about the technical deficit of our players in last years world cup than I was about the tactics and team selection.
