Looking at the game lasy night you would get excited if liverpool signed morientes in the morning. He has looked very good since he joined Valencia, and he looks in way better shape, strugling to get into the spanish team with liverpool.I dont think wel get Villa even with the money, and benitez said he doesnt want him.i would love to have him here as i would love to have any player in the world here, but i dunno if he would leave valencia

thats a bit farfetched, never would kaka come to us,if he was leaving i think he would be more atracted to man utd or chelsea, but since we might have the money now,we will compete with these forworld-class players, but hes not leaving soo.....MY TEAM WOULD BE LIKE THIS :p

No way do we sign Kaka.  In my opinion there is only one player in the world in the same league as Gerrard - and that's Kaka.  Rooney, Henry, and Ronaldinho are all incredible, but Gerrard and Kaka are a cut above everybody else.  Ask yourselves, can we put a price on Stevie?  And could Milan do that for Kaka?

I would LOVE to see them in the same team, that one signing would transform us instantly to the best team in England I think, and probably only Barcalona would have a better team anywhere in the world.  What about Riquelme?  Villareal aren't exactly a club of the same stature of Milan...  He might be attainable, you might say he's a poor man's Kaka, but Kaka is THAT good that I really don't think he'll be allowed to leave for anything.

Problem being, Riquelme is nearly 29, and would cost in excess of £25m.

As far as Kaka is concerned, I'd be happy for us to break the World transfer record to acquire his signature.

Simply a cut above.

And Milan WOULD sell for the right price - just look at Shevchenko.

Back on topic, should the fantasy actually become reality and Villa and Kaka sign, we would still be a quality left-back away from a title-winning side.

Unless Aurelio gets over these b*stard injuries, we need another replacement for Riise, who just isn't good enough.
Thing is - who do you sign? Who is good enough, and willing to make the move?

Don't say Bale - he's nothing more than a prospect. Not a title-winning leftback at this moment in time.

We should sign Alves now we have the pennies. (Although Rafa has refused to pay over the odds previously - will that change, I wonder?)

The lad is on another planet for a rightback. Absolutely incredible.

We could always sign Philip Neville, he is after all the current England left-back  :p

I would go for Heinze off the mancs given the chance. Best full back in the prem 2 years ago, struggled since but he's hard and would also fit in if we switch to 3 at the back. At £5Million I would take a chance.

The scum would never sell to us, and regarding Elchris; I would rather us sign a dedicated leftback. Someone who was born for that role, rather than "is able to fit in."

It's a b*stard, really, cos Wayne Bridge is probably the best one in England, but is just simply unavailable to us.

Silly c*nt should have signed for us. Now he's playing second fiddle to the most overrated leftback in the World. (Cole is good, but he isn't the best.)

david villa, and daniel alves  i would bet one of them will be a liverpool player come the summer...
most likely it will be alves coming in the summer...  as lando said the guy is sheer fu.cking class...
but i think we can forget about last season's price  he will no doubt cost us a club record for his service's...   david villa would blow the alves price out of the water...  watch this space...

Would he be able to adapt to the Premiership style?

We've been burned before with Morientes.

well theres that major risk with any foreign player but it's really tempting to take that risk after watchin the lad play IMO.

Depends on the price I suppose.

Even though we are newly minted, I still wouldn't want to pay silly money for players.

Id take David Villa in a heartbeat. The guy is magic and the kind of player we need if we to seriously challenge for the league.Obviously thst should include a replacement for Riise and a playmaker in the midfield for creativity.
