Have just heard that Kewell & Cahill will both start on the bench. Popovic in for Wiltshire.

Sounds like we are going to hunker down and then hit them late.

Pretty happy with that half, still a long way to go. At least we didnt look overawed and out of depth like at the start of friendly against Holland recently

Just tending to rush our progress. Need to take some time to patiently build rather than just going for the trigger.

Looks reasonable but we still have 45 mins to play.

I think we might be witnessing Ronaldo's last match for Brazil. He had two clear cut chances there (absolute sitters for his standard) and he's fluffed both...not to mention the horrible through ball for Carlos 10 minutes before half time. A well weighted pass there would have set Carlos up beatifully...bread and butter stuff for this team.

Well done and hard luck Aussies .
Pity you had Viduka up front , he's got less pace than a dump truck and even less mobility . But despite this handicap you made the by now surely overated Brasilians look pretty average .
Good luck for the next match

(Argentina now definite favourites for the cup )

No shame there. The situation is clear...beat or draw with Croatia and on THAT performance we are MORE than capable of doing so.

We had our chances but tended to rush things somewhat. A few players saw their name in lights!! :)
