Yep eastern seaboard for me  :(   :D  Damn it I should catch a flight to Perth maybe. I stayed up for the England match last week aswell, work the next day was very slow and tiring   :D

Yeah its definate advantage when watching games not just World Cup but especially EPL games. Though only drawback back are evening games such as Champions league in this timezone

Fielding a weakened team against Brasil is a little foolish in my eyes. Australia will probably lose, but if they do they will want it to be by as small a margin as possible, like a 1-0 or 2-1 as it could come down to GD against Croatia.

If Australia field a weakened team tonight and gets done by 3 or 4 goals, and Croatia beat Japan, it would mean that Croatia only need a draw against Australia to go through.

For me Guus is sending the wrong message to his team if he rests players, as he is more or less conceding defeat.

I think after Argentinas performance,Brazil might just be up for this big time and i feel sorry for Australia they are next in line.I would love Australia to get something from this but feel this will be the game Brazil come to life and will want to show the world how special they can be.

Further info on Aussie betting scandle, FIFA are now initiating an investigation into Australian players betting on Cahill scoring their first goal of the World cup. Appears to be official now as its on ItV teletext.

We don't know the starting line up so there is no need to get excited about Guus sending the wrong messages, etc.. That's just premature. What we do know is that Guus is enjoying himself 'leaking' who's starting and who isn't...this will make it hard for Brasil to decide their set up or at least keep them guessing.

I'll be sitting up for the early game too. If Japan can knock over Croatia, the Brasil result for us will be less as important. A draw would do nicely in the final game, UNLESS Japan defeats Brasil!!!  :D

Laza, I'm envious with the starting times in the West...but I thought you were in Thailand??  ???

Australia's best for Brazil - AAP

Socceroos coach Guus Hiddink has vowed to play his best team against Brazil regardless of the yellow card situation and attack the world champions in search of the upset of the World Cup.

A second yellow card in the group stage means an automatic one-match ban, with any of the four unavailable for the Croatia match if they fall foul of the referee against the Brazilians.

But while Brazil is a game the Socceroos could theoretically afford to lose narrowly now they have three points from their win over Japan, Hiddink said he was more concerned with getting a result against the Brazilians.

"This game deserves a team we think which is good enough to make (a game with) the opposition, and not just consider letting out all the players who are on yellow cards," Hiddink said.

"We'd like to make a result. We'd like to make a good impression worldwide, and I don't think we have to think a lot of what will happen in the third game. We'll see then."

This might help to solve a few doubts...but don't bank on it!!! :D

Theres nothing wrong with second guessing or predicting Hiddinks selection. Football fans worldwide always do it, thats what fans do !

TBH I dont think Brazil will be to bothered about Australias team selection too much. All there coach has to worry about is his team performing if they do the onus will be on Australia to worry about containing them.

Sadly LH, i returned home yesterday morning to record lows of minus 3.........Im missing that 33 degree heat already

Yeah looking forward to Croat vs Japan game as whose result really is probably far more important then our game against Brazil in grand scheme of things

That betting saga looks like another news of world headline grabber just before a big game.........ho hum

I could believe that temp in Perth, Tasmania (near Launceston) but not Perth, WA. I thought it was perfect over there...if you don't count the flies!!! :D
