Probably Dollars, £12m Strridge, £6m Ince = about $29m  :D

is sturridge an improvement over borrini?
is ince an improvement over downing/assaidi ?

Yes in both instances.

If Rodgers can instill a steely confidence and determination in Downing then we'll have a good winger on our hands. Like Henderson, Downing's quality wasn't in question for me, it's his weak mentality that has been the massive problem for Downing.

I think Rodgers has got a bit more out of some the massive under performers like
Downing and even Enrique has come on this year.

Not saying Downings a world beater but he is making a contribution and I certainly
dont think anyones gone backwards under the new manager.

Remains to be seen if Downing will actually be looking for a new club in January or
if those words were just for motivation, and if they where it seems to have worked
because it looks like the lad needs a kick up the backside to get him moving.

Cheatski have smashed eight past Villa.

A few questions now need to be asked how we actually lost to this lot last week.

This does not bode well on Rodgers at all........

Could you elaborate?

A bad day at the office doesn't mean anything, if we were losing a majority of our matches, you'd have a point. Also let's be honest, Chelsea still have an impressive squad despite a relatively poor season by their standards.

They can field brilliant talent like Oscar, Mata and Hazard in attack which makes all the difference.

What a load of balls.

Villa have a young talented side and hence are inconsistent. Simple as that. Chelsea were good today and villa imploded. It happens.

If we had gone up early against villa I think we would have smashed them too.

I'm glad after that impressive win, Brendan didn't publicly say things like we were going to win the PL in May. He has to be realistic and stop giving fans false hopes. News are reporting that Sturridge has undergone a medical at Anfield and looks like it is 90% confirmed he'll be joining Liverpool. He may not be a Rush/Fowler/Aldridge, but I am sure with him in the team will give us more teeth up front and expect us to score more goals than before. To be optimistic about the whole affair, signing Sturridge I am sure will improve the team and hopefully the improvement will continue on next summer when we sign more good quality players to seriously challenge a top 4 finish next season. IMHO, finishing in top 4 next May is a fairy tale fantasy. The highest position we can achieve I'd say is from 6th to 8th. At one time, I though we would be relegated, so finishing from 6th to 8th to me is a satisfactory season. A far cry from the glory days of the 70s and 80s where finishing 2nd was a dismal failure for our club.
