Rodgers is sh'it and should be sacked! Oh hang on we won; Rodgers must stay!
It was only against Southampton though; Rodgers out!
But were only 4 points behind neverton; Rodgers must stay!
But theyre pure sh'it; Rodgers out!

(Carry on ad nauseum until you die or we win the league, whichever comes first...)

Cant be arsed going into detail about who said what. The man is doing his best with what we have.
I dont agree with some things hes done but some of the absolute sh'it I have seen on here is unbelievable. People should stop being obsessed with our league position and look at the improvement throught the club from the kids teams to the top since hes took over. The attitude of EVERYONE has changed for the better and the philosophy of it being a privilege to play for LFC is coming back, finally.
I wasnt born when Shankly took over but Im sure he got the same sort of comments in his first three years that Rodgers is getting, and look what happened to him!

In light of the situation at Arsenal, its nice to hear Robbie Savage defending Rodgers. We haven't had an 'awful' season, though out of the COC and EL before Christmas wouldn't look particularly great, we're building, there's vision and playing good football. Personally I'm rather optimistic with Rodgers at the helm and think it'll be onwards and upwards in seasons to come, provided we hold on to the nucleus of our squad
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Our season has been a mixed bag, but to say it has been awful is beyond ridiculous. We've had a lot of misfortune this season too.

And what's wrong with that? These boards have missed someone of the caliber of BigMick.
Ycsatbjywtbiastkamb makes a point about our manager's behaviour which is backed up by fact. That's all.

BR is not covering himself with glory at the moment. Back him by all means.... he is still our manager. But that does not make him immune to criticism.

And fact of the matter is plain and simple and can be seen from the league table.

He talks a good talk but I've not seen anything from him yet that even hints at a possible turn around in our fortunes.

The message is simple to understand really... he will do as much as possible to reinforce the current squad in January, but at the same time don't expect too much. How hard is that to understand???

Is that really how you interpret the statements Rodgers has made regarding the January window?
Interesting. I disagree of course. And the January thing is not the first time that he has made statements which are then later followed by actions or statements which are completely opposite. I hadn't realized it was not obvious to all..... but then not everyone has the same level of savvy, maturity or quotient of intelligence I suppose.

Misfortune and very dubious refereeing decisions. The fact we havent had a penalty given in our favour this season shows what this club is up against.

As a side note, isnt it funny how Gareth Bale has been booked 4 times this season for diving, and yet there is no one making a big fuss, nobody raising hell on how he is ruining the game?

the Prem is so Fu,cked up right now, big teams getting beat all over the place.
some state head come up with a few facts, taken from results over the last 300 prem game.
if you are 2-0 you have more chance of getting 1 or 0 points than getting 3 points at the end of the game.
If you and 1-0 up in the first 20mins  you have more chance of getting beat than winning the game.

as i say the prem is very strange right now that we could see us in 3rd place by Feb and we might only need to win 3 games and a few draws to get there.

we was poor in the 2nd half today but we got the win, we have been looking a good side but we need the results, with a few new players going in then who knows where we could be at the end of the season.

the title is between the two mancs...but the rest is wide open.

Seriosuly, Chelsea and WBA won't be in the top 4 come the summer....if we can get our act together, and some good players in jan, we can get a top 4.  It's a big 'if' i know, but quite possible

After what happened at the last day of the last transfer window, who can blame him? It's about time people stopped making mountains out of molehills with regards to BR's comments. It's about time you realize that this is a rebuilding period, and he's certainly going in the right direction. He is having to play two 17 year olds in Sterling and Suso because we failed to bring in a wide forward that he wanted. He is having to deal with injury to Lucas who is crucial to his plan to play 1 anchoring midfielder and 2 more foward CM's. Maybe he himself is not sure whether the owners will back him properly in January again. Maybe he is sending a message to the owners. At least bigmick gave Benitez 3 years or so before scrutinizing every little action of his. You people are doing it after 6 months to BR? Get a grip and support the manager... by all means criticize him for playing Downing at LB but blowing up the things he say in the press is getting beyond ridiculous. It's not as if Kenny talked very little to the press. No criticisms there as I recalled  . The rebuilding will continue and it will be at least the start of next season that we start seeing BR's set up as he wants it to be.

It is indeed interesting the premier league table... I can't believe we're only 7  points away from 3rd place. Having said that, we need to sort ourselves out first and convert those overwhelming possession into better results. We are relying too much on Suarez for scoring and that needs to be sorted.

I know most on here are a little underwhelmed by the reports lining us with Sturridge but I think he could be the transfer we need.

He is agile, fits well into a passing side, has flair. Ok not proven much of late but when you look at his record when he starts he has a good conversion rate. His first full season at Chelsea after coming back from the Bolton loan he netter 11 goals in 30 appearances. Not setting the world alight but not a terrible record for a first season.

he aint doing as bad as some said, considering we are only 2 points behind the "irreplaceable" wenger.
but some of his decision makings defeat logic:
1) playing downing as left back in league games
2) playing shelvey in an advance role when the kid cant score even if you put a gun to his head
3) running the risk of "burning out" sterling
4) signing assaidi for 4m, despite him putting in some good performance and not playing him in the league at all
5) not blooding in a backup striker (morgan or yvesil) in games we are winning. suarez is not going to play every game from now to jan. and we will need to play a backup striker sooner or later (vs west ham)
