The thought of Fernando Torres returning here makes my stomach churn. I won't support him if he comes back.

being 13th in the league makes my stomach churn even more.
watched the united game before and after glancing at the league table i genuinely wasnt sure who i wanted to win, when villa went two up my initial elation sort of turned into `hang on a minute these will go from 4th from bottom to above us....`

If he took the job knowing the financial restraints then hes a brave man but I suspect he was given more
than an impression that more cash was on the table than materialised but hes keeping his gob shut
and is cracking on with things regardless.

I sense a level of frustration though and if the owners start shutting him down again in January I
think he may start drip feeding some home truths to the media to save his own neck and let the
fans know the score.

arsenal have yet to let a player leave for free and if he hasnt signed by january then we can get him on the cheap. same situation with huntelaar if we are prepared to pay the extra in wages and id gladly see huntelaar earning coles wage.
both the transfer fee's and probably the 1st years wages could be paid from the potential sale of carroll next summer.
if torres was to return id have no problems with that. FWIW though i cant see that happening as why would he want to leave chelsea? he probably feels vindicated in his move as he won the cl and has a good shot at the prem this year. he would have to take a paycut also so i doubt it will ever happen.
huntelaar is the main priority for me and i hope the club are working hard behind the scenes to sell the club to him.

I will say it before and I will say it again, if the owners can't give Brendan money in January to bring in a solid striker to partner Suarez they need to be shown the door quick smart.

The time for dawdling and making up excuses on past management / ownership regimes...........IS OVER!

The last thing Rodgers needs to do is alienate the owners, look what happened to Benitez when he spoke out against the owners and criticised them, they were lining up a replacement in Jurgen Klinsmann and stop giving Benitez money to spend. Benitez was essentially isolated and left on his own, that's not what Rodgers wants or needs. He has to keep the owners onside and who knows, they may well say "here you go Brendan, here's £30m to spend in January". I think we should judge them after January has finished and reserve a final judgement for the 1st of September next year. If they don't back him in the next two windows then they should do the right thing and put us up for sale. They could get at least £400m-£450m for us, a large profit for them.

Probably but then Brod will take the fall. Mark my words, IF we continue in the same vain FSG will fire him. There is a real chance we could be in the bottom 4 by xmas and thats not going to fly with them or the fans. Fans will probably turn on FSG first and blame lack of funds, FSG will respond by getting shot of Rodgers.

Around we go again.

irrespective of team setup/formation, that doesn't account for the general lack of basic skills and awareness by senior players in that half.

I'm not so sure about that. Rodgers is the first manager that FSG actually wanted to hire.

Fair play to Rodgers again. Yet again he changed the whole system in the second half and we improved.

Rodgers will be fine, I'm sure FSG appreciate the tough task in front of Rodgers and I am sure he will afford time by them and so he should be, he needs time and investment to change our fortunes around, but he's done a good job since arriving, those who are slating him seem to be expecting miracles and they sadly will be disappointed. Unfair expectations will inevitably lead to bitter disappointment and grave frustration.

I wanted to fight for 4th until march time. We are a million miles away from that

Now in his defence the changes he made today showed he isnt a one trick pony that i thought.

A million miles? We are 8 points off 4th and have played all the top teams. Hopefully we will add to our squad in January and carry on improving and have a strong second half of the season. We are still at the start of the rebuilding. Rome wasn't built in a day!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On
