Confidence booster for Carrol and hope he can keep this up. Suarez was like a magician and everyone had solution for him. He is an example to all players as he worked so hard and had a lot of fight in him. But Carra really had a tough stretch of games. We are more solid with agger and skrtel in the middle. Hope KK can make the dare changes in the final.a thrilling win and I wonder why we always end up doing it the hard way haha.

Thought we were woeful in the first half. Seemed to be a lack of urgency, perhaps nerves. But conceding the goal was a rocket up the @rse and we picked up from then.

Thought Henderson played better on the left then on the right and I think that was the turning point in the second half as we got into gear. Suarez was an illusionist and the way he read distin's mistake was outstanding.  Overall passing was a lot crisper in the second half and Carroll was a lot better at retaining the ball and in his positioning.

Bloody delighted for Carroll to get the winner and Jones deserves a special mention. Being in that position on your first start of the season since 2010 in an fa cup semi final and delivering deserves a huge amount of credit.

Carroll won't get many better chances then that.. Nobody knows he's ***** that up more then him tho.. Let's see all the anti-Carroll people come out now and slate the hell out of him.

On his selection on the day alone, you'd understand Kenny getting sacked for this !

Fcking horrendous the whole thing. Tactics are Sh*t,and the selections are even worse. Why the fck start Carragher and Henderson (down the right flank) when they've been ***** all season and we have much better options on the bench !

Why go into a cup game against an in-form side and try to play the long ball against one of the tallest (and most physical) sides in the league. Ridiculous.

Our 2 best players (Gerrard and Suarez) cant get into the game because our only target and our main gameplan has been hitting Carroll with the long ball.




Downing down the left was starting to get into the game then what do we do ? Fcking move him to the right flank ?

Useless all round.

no mate you need to do that, giving the team stick and kenny during the game, it seem your only a fan when things are going well. theres too many like you on here right now, the club is have a bad year in the prem yet if you bum buddie Rafa was the manager you would be saying what a great he has had with one cup and another final.
back the Fuck1ng team during the game and save the sh1t  untill the result is in.

did u watch that first half ? Was torrid all round.

We came out much better in the second half but we still lacked quality for most of the game. You could see the problems we had at the back coming a mile away and its not like we completely got away with it. Going forward, Henderson was so bad down the right that they had to move him to the left to see if he would be any better. He came off and we immediately added impact to our possession. Better chances were created. better possession, and he almost scored because of his off the ball movement.   

Regarding Carroll, I said before the game that his aerial prowess might be good enough reason to select him. Imo, Kuyt should be given a crack at the forward role because AGAIN, for large periods today and especially the first half, we limited our options to long balls aimed at Carroll to try and get the flink ons to bounce our way. We changed our style in the second half and credit to Kenny for that.

To come out and dismiss that we got it wrong at the beginning regarding both tactics and selection is basically saying that Kenny was wrong to change it around after the break.

We'll enjoy eing in the final. It was great winning the carling cup, but let's not get too carried away and let the 2 cup runs paper over the obvious cracks we have.
