Sticking Downing on the right was actually a really good idea. Baines is great attacking, but when it comes to getting back sometimes he's stuck up the pitch and that leaves a nice place for Downing to run into.

nothing personal, but Brad Jones is not a very good keeper. is he?
Carroll has to start finishing easy chances. he reminds me very much of Heskey when he was playing for us

It's hard to come on as a third choice keeper though. Think he has done good.
