Not sure what the problem you see with the Lucas Masher partnership tonight as bar the first 5 mins they have controlled the game - lucas i think is having a very good game so far .

Fair play to Insua and Carra who are doing a decent job on two useful wide midfielders, while Agger looks very good. I'm still very unconvinced about the Lucas/Masherano axis, and obviously about Voronin. My guess is that rafa will pull the Russian and get Aquilani on to play in the Gerrard role. I also still think we'll win 2-1.

Good half though by the lads, no complaints here.

Thats what id like to see Mick , Aqualani in the gerrard role, get that bottle of bleach off,

Some one remind me, who's on our bench ? Surely any of them can't be any less ineffective than Voronin

Why is a big lad like Porn Star taking corners instead of waiting in the box?

Torres is clearly at 80% so we need Porn Star up there fighting for every ball taking the pressure off Torres.

I don't agree mate. We've been efficient at stifling them, although one or two slipped throuhg balls have been inches away from opening us up. From an attacking viewpoint though, either from themselves or from passing, neither Lucas nor masherano have contributed anything (I say this not knowing who put Voronin clear, you couldn't see it on Eurosport).

From central midfield you need one of the two IMHo to be a link to the front men. Neither masherano nor Lucas do it.
