Sack Him - All Venting In Here Please

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Avi Cohen » Sun Nov 01, 2009 2:00 pm

I want him to stay until the end of the season. I don't want my club to turn into a Newcastle - poor sting of results? Sack him.

We MUST see him out until the end of the season. We're a team ravaged by injuries and a lack of confidence right now BUT we are more than capable of putting together an outstanding run, which I'm sure we will.
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Liverpool Football Club is NOT a reality TV show.  We do not sack managers because we lose a few games or because fans jump up and down in frustration of their own lives, nothing to do with the club.

We DO however need someone to stand up and steady the ranks.

That is about right. What we need is stability and "sack him" are the words of petulant children that are throwing a hissy-fit, not the words of someone thinking clearly. Bottom line is we have to ride out the storm, after all we are a good side.

Thats true mate
But is Rafa that man? Isnt it down to him the postion we are in? Why did he bring our best (only) striker and our best (only) creative player off when we needed to score a goal? How can you leave voronin on and bring babel and that kid on? What was he thinking? How can he justify it? The last time he brought benny off he said he was "tired" A full grown international professional athlete tired? I think half the time he doesnt know what hes doing. He likes to think he does and in his head hes justified but to observers hes lost the plot to be honest. I dont want him to be sacked but what can you do with someone who makes all these baffling decisions and, worst of all doesnt see them as bad and cant learn from something he doesnt believe are his mistakes?

First sign of disappointment and look how they bleat.

We should create a separate forum for mentally weak people so they can go there and cry together and have group hugs.

Fcuking wooftas, its pathetic.

No, it's normal.

Pathetic is when one fan thinks we should sáck the manager but when we're challenging for the league they say they're neutral or even that they think we have the right manager for the club. Now they come and say that they were right all along about how useless is the manager.

That's pathetic. Asking for the sacking of the manager after so many defeats in a top club? that's understandable. I'd expect that in any top club of the world, the fans are angry, and they ask to sack the manager. That's not pathetic. It's normal under this circunstances.

The situation is not good enough and Rafa is the responsible to sort things out. Let's hope we do so soon enough. About the topic of the thread, I don't think we should sack him, but certainly I'm not happy with Rafa's season so far, I'd lie if I'd say otherwise.

Come on Rafa, sort it out. And come on Lady Luck, remember you owe us a visit in Anfield this season.

he took off Torres because the lad is carrying an injury and we cannot afford to lose him.

It is more likely Rafa will walk.  Defeat vs Lyon, and I think he will leave.

He looks ill to me, and for that reason I suspect he will walk and return to the warm weather in Spain.

If Rafa is sacked (or leaves) I'd be worried about players following him, or leaving for greener pastures.

Masch, Torres, Pepe would all be at risk in my eyes.

I'm at a complete loss with Rafa  :(
I hear all the argument and can agree with points made from both sides
Personally I've had enough, 5 years is long enough
To expect us to believe that the likes of Babel, Voronin, Deggan, Ngog, Lucas, Dossena  are of the quality needed win trophy's is laughable.
Rafas often erratic line ups and substitutions still baffle me, his complete unwillingness to change things on the pitch until 60+ minutes have passed even though its obvious to everyone that the starting line up and the tactics are not working.
The lack of money argument doesn't stand up for me, all the above are his buys plus the dross that has been moved on.
The Keene incident was a farce, as was his handling of the Alonso affair
For me Rafa falls short on to many things
The argument of who would I have in his place is valid, but then again how many of us had actually heard that much about Rafa?

loopyliverpool wrote:Its simply not the right time to do any sacking and people need to get their heads around that simple idea and stop all the bleating (some of which is very childlike I must say). We all know the problems: owners, finance, dodgy squad, tactics, injuries etc. etc. ETC. But sacking Rafa now, who is neither as bad or as good as people make out would be catastrophic for the club. I've made my opinions clear about 'our' manager in the past, at to be fair, it aint good. But at this point in time the 'right' thing for the good of the club is to BACK Rafa and see if he can turn it around, he is more than capable.

I agree with you there loopy, just.
