and welcome
alright Dawson.....
If you would have asked me the beginning of last season I would have set get rid. I personally wanted a typical out and out winger to take people on.
But you can't argue with his goal tally last season so for me the lad deserves his place in the side.
Definately not Stu,
and Holly, don't worry about this lot, decoraters are in for most of these lads 8 days a week

well sorry to pi.ss on your bonfire Owzat but I can reassure you I am not Stu.
That's funny, that's exactly what stu would say (and maybe even just did)
fair enough Owzat if you insist I'm Stu then so be it.
Hopefully in time you will change your mind.
By all means call me Kev......

2. for 18mill we would have gotten a very good attacking player... the likes of Sneijder, Mancini, DiMaria, Joaquin, Maxi Rodriques, Arshavin?, Hleb, Ben Arfa, Cazorla, Mutu, Capel, Navas, L.Fabiano...etc
now add 10mill to that and you're talking the likes of Silva, Teves, Etoo and so on... funny how 18mill is nothing to some... yea whatever !
3. Evra, cole, clichy and Sagna... how much were they bought for ? where they all big players when bought by their current clubs ? name a fullback in world transfers history who cost similar or more money and was of similar quality to glen johnson ? the likes of Zambrotta, Srna, Rafinha, Sagna, Lahm Miguel... is Johnson better than any of the above ? would/did any of them cost that much ?
Some good points on the fullback front and it's hard to disagree, it's a lot of money, I liked the Russian RB Anyokov (or whatever his name is) and i'm sure he would have been available on the cheap cheap.
As for the middies, Sneider, Ben Arfa and Mancini are all decent shouts, the rest of them read a bit like a champ manager scout search and i must admit i haven't seen enough of them to have an opinion. I don't think Hleb would come (or be sold), I haven't seen anything of Navas, Capel, Cazorla, Di Maria or Fabiano (assuming you have?) and as for Arshavin (don't get me started!) I do like Silva.
Not sure E'to is an option, I'm not sure he'd come and play second fiddle to Torres, Tevez would have been nice but even if he wanted to come i don't think we would , could or should match the wage offer he gets from City.
Fabiano is Brazil's number 1 striker today.... DiMaria is the hottest young player in Argentina outside Messi and Aguero... bags of ability and only a matter of time before he moves to a big club (have seen him on international duty but havent seen him play for Benfica so no idea how hes doing there)... Capel, Navas and Cazorla iv seen enough of to know theyd be good buys... dont know if theyd want to leave spain but all 3 of them are good enough to play at the very top imo... Funny u skipped Mutus name, Maxis aswell.. both along with Robben would be my top picks... but anyways thats besides the point..

Mutu is an interesting shout, looked a cracking player for Chelsea but fizzled out after Christmas. I know he's repaired his career and been playing well the past few years. I don't know that he would be a great fit for us though? He's not the lead the line type of player who could come in for Torres and i'm guessing he'd be first reserve to Gerrard if he at LFC. Can he play the wide positions?
Again, I haven't seen enough of Maxi (is that Rodriguez?) but I know rafa is rumoured to be a fan.
