Yeah I think it could be down to poor man managment from Hughes as well. Anyway I thought Keane was was overpriced at 20Mil so it wouldn't be the first time we paid over the odds. Crouch was worth no more than 3 or 4 Mil when we bought him either. Cisse 14Mil?

I think some people are over reacting here.

I'd expect Sergio Ramos for 17M, I'd still probably raise an eyebrow then. It's no overreaction. As for Crouch and Cisse, they're stikers and you expect to pay good money for (potential) match winners - BTW, 7M for Crouch turned out a very shrewd investment and we made a decent profit on him, despite him only having a year left on his contract.

Just wondering for the imaginery 20million Rafa has, does anyone knows if he has it now or he doesn't has the 20 but could spend 20 only if he could get 20 from all the players sold? I honestly doubt Rafa has any real money to spend from the look of it.....

Fck glen johnson if he costs 15-20mill... not worth a penny more than 7mill... id go as far as 10mill ONLY because hes English but why the hell are we even considering making a bid if hes rated at 20mill or so... I'd rather keep arbeloa and use that money elsewhere....
Srna, Lahm, Rafinha, Anyukov, Miguel are all better player who would come for cheaper... Hell i'd take Corluka and Belleti for cheap rather than paying over the odds for Johnson.... Maicon could be on his way to Chelsea... maybe we should wait and use that sort of money to bring in Bosingwa who is a much better player at both ends imo... FFS for 20mill we might aswell go for Maicon himself, or Zambrotta or Ramos or Sagna who are all way better than Johnson will ever be...

Point being, he's not good enough to command such a fee... for such money, given his position, he'd have to be one of the best in the world... Glen johnson while being a good player is nowhere near...

I reckon we should just secure a deal with Silva before we do anything.

A little thing that might encourage him to join us if we bid for him is that his dad is the head of security at liverpool :oops:
