And peewee do you think people choose to get depressed ? Do you think they wake up one day and say to themselves "Oh i think i will try depression today as opposed to snorting cocaine or having a bet or getting hammered on a daily basis " . You cant compare them .
Being an Alcoholic or a Drug Addict or Gambling your life away is things that can easily be avoided - Ie dont do them in the first place - not an illness in my mind.
See that is were you are wrong lad!!
Its like me turning round and saying to you,"cheer up ya depressive fuc'ker, sure you have nothing to be sad about"...I would not say that because its something I dont understand and therefore I cant judge you! Also I know it is a chemical imbalance in a persons brain most of the time that causes the illness as opposed to events in the persons life!So it aint your fault or anyone else who suffers/suffered from it!!
Its the same for Didi, you are not qualified to say you have no sympathy and its his own fault. You are judging something you are ignorant to and have not experienced.Men have lost their families, jobs everything they own due to gambling addiction.
Like a depressive gets up in the morning and knows he will feel low,a gambling addict I would assume gets up knowing full well he will gamble, even though he does not want to.Dont be too quick to dismiss something because you have to physically act to do it as not an illness, what I mean because a druggie jacks up,because a gambler goes to a bookies etc and they are aware they are doing it does not mean they are not ill.I guess no one really understands how addictions work, the brain is complicated and still a lot is unknown about how it works!
Just a bit narrow minded to come off with"No sympathy, its his own fault"
Fecking think about it lad!
