We know we can win Eurpoe and I believe if we get to the final with the league won I would consider the season a massive success after January.

But if we get to the final with the league won I reckon we'd win it anyway :D

So folks are prefering the Big Picture view of winning the league as opposed to the more immediate pain of losing to the Mancs.

I think winning the league would be the sweetest result, firstly because we have never won the Premier League and the Mancs would no longer need to remind us of it!! and secondly because this season United were so far ahead on points and to claw that back and come away with the title would be something special!!

Comes with the job unfortunately, coz i'm a teacher I had to do it at half-term. Could have waited until the summer but Turkey, Greece and anywhere else in Europe (we didn't wanna get married in shi...t..ty England) will be too hot in the holidays.

So, right near the climax of the season you'll be saying "I do" not knowing whether we have?
No pressure there then...

Current score:

League - Liverpool 18 v Man U 17
Europe - Liverpool 5 v Man U 3

So, it's the League for me. Defo.

Universally (imo) there's more glory in winning the CL than the premiership. 99.9% of the worlds footy fans from Buenos Aires to Bangkok are clustered around a tv watching the drama unfold in the final of the  champions league. Whether they are Liverpool supporters or not, every football fan around the globe will always remember the match in Istanbul.

Our champions league performances since Rafa arrived have put us firmly back on the world football map. Perhaps for that reason, in recent seasons, if only to take pleasure in our name being feared around the world again, I've been more than happy to see us getting to the semi's (at least) in the CL and our position in the premiership, as long as it qualified us for next seasons CL, was always a secondary consideration.

However, now that we finally have a gilt edged chance of winning the bl'oody thing,( I'm talking about the premiership) I have to admit that for this season at least I'd happily swap lifting the CL trophy for that of the Premiership .

Of course as someone said earlier, the perfect scenario would be that we lifted both trophies   :buttrock .

Anyone know how much league winners get now? I think it is a lot more this year with the new TV deals. I think our total winnings for Istanbul was something like £50Mil.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

The luxury is of course that for once we dont have to be so concerned about CL qualification.

I thought this forum was lacking some stress compared to previous years!
