CL QF DRAW THREAD - Friday 20th March 11.00 GMT

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Lads, make the mental shift from underdog to the next league champions entering into a new era of domestic and european domination will ya?

Back in the glory days sure we ohh´d and arr´d when the draw was announced but we always knew we would win.

Chelsea are far more worried than we are, believe me.

dont we have a good record around Hillsborough memorial?

I reckon we will win both legs and win it for the 96, what better for the 20th Anniversary
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

We will have to mark Essien and Drogba very tightly but we can do it. I think they are probably more dissapointed at the draw than us.

Aa long as we keep our main players fit and healthy we will beat them. But I can't help but think they are a different proposition under Hiddink. I know it is early days since he took over but I am yet to see them perform badly under him. Anyway i'm sure Rafa as always will be studying them and will come up with the right plan.

they've played us in four knockouts and a group stage, we even topped the group and they've put us out once, tell him to do one!

oh and the day early for the fixture is a bit of a mickey take as well, in fact I think it's slightly disrespectful  :no

Is the 14th the only option available? When is the Prem game before that?

Worst possible draw for us. :(

I was hoping we'd miss Chelsea this time around. And we have to play them away on the 2nd leg as well. If there's one manager out there who is possibly on par or better than Benitez in Europe, it's Hiddink. This is not going to be a walk in the park by a long chalk.
