GYBS wrote:No your are directly comparing them - constantly bringing up kuyt when this s a thread about keane - FACT about keane - he has played plenty of minutes buthasnt scored enough or done enough so far for us .
for one i wasnt the person who mentioned Kuyt that was Lando, and two seeing as Keane is usually dropped in favour of Kuyt i cant see the harm in comparing them

how so? Torres when fit is gonna play everygame and rightly so he is our second best player and one the best in the world. The competion is for who is going to partner him, we have either Keane, Kuyt or N'gog and i know who i would pick everytime.
The problem is we barely play a 4-4-2 anyway, we usually play 4-5-1 with Gerrard behind Torres, which is waste of a good player in Keane IMO, we could drop kuyt put Gerrard on the right and play Keane and Torres together or put Benayoun/El Zhar out there and have gerrard in the centre of Midfield and Play Torres and Keane up top. Its worth a shot IMO, as were not scoring or creating enough at the moment, we might give ourselves a chance if we put some players on the pitch who have the abilty to score or create chances.

he hasnt played 16 in a row, thats the amount of Premiership appearances he has made, he's played 27 in total including appearances as a sub

The obvious question has got to be:
Has Kuyt been scoring? If not why wasnt he subbed?

35, and whats your point? in the games he has played he hasnt had a enough time on the pitch when he has played to get his confidence going, maybe if Benitez showed some confidence in him he might show some confidence himself, who knows? if Keane had been a regular all year, id be criticising just as much as the next man, the fact is he hasnt played to build up some confidence and go on a scoring run. He has a proven goalscoring record in the premier league, so he has the quality it cant have disappeared over night
