Totally agree with you bigmick. Keane scratched his head like a madman coming off. He couldn't believe it. "Me Again??", he thought.

At least he is starting a few games though.
Ryan Babel must be really p'ssed of getting 12 mins here & there. I see there are a few posters on here who apparently don't rate Babel. But how can you judge a player on such brief occasions??

WTF? I just cannot see in any way shape or form what this lad has. He may be lightening quick but I haven't seen any evidence of it yet. He doesn't seem blessed with bags of skill, nor does he seem good in the air. He doesn't seem to be particularly aware of whats going on around him, and he doesn't work his socks off.

I can't disagree that and We could add aswell his controls are clumsy, I haven't seen an orientated control from him.

That is, I agree he's been poor, but my bleeding heart makes me feel guilty if I give him stick.

Come on, you antirotationist that know well how important is cohesion should know that entering a working team is difficult being that young and playing so few minutes.

Somehow I feel that there are other players that should receive more stick, as much as Ngog has provided little this season, he could never be considered more than the 4th or 5th striker. I'm all for seeing Ngog in the Carling and when the score is 2-0, but looking at how anxious the team looked for the win and with all the pressure of the world, it didn't seem to be the best moment to get him into the game.

I guess the lad is doing well in Melwood.

Never going to be easy for the kid, which is a shame because he probably has a lot more than he's showing.

Imagine the scene - new boy, 19 years old, with 1 appearance under his belt.

And then he gets slated for being unable to make an impact in 15 minutes, when seasoned Internationals who have played virtually every game for us this year fail to impact on 75-90 minutes.

It's pathetic, it really is...

I'm not in any way with-hunting this young fella, but I simply cannot see any single thing about him which convinces me that he may one day make a footballer. Is it just me or what?

I dont know Mick, considering you thought Lucas was something of a footballer you could be wrong.

N'Gog hasnt looked superb in 80 mins of Premiership football or whatever it is, but others like Kuyt, Aurelio and keane are given ample time and in the past and present respectively havent produced.

Disclaimer - I am not saying N'Gog is the next Torres, he may not even be the next Dundee but lets give the lad a chance like we have with Lucas, Kuyt and even Keane hey?

In fairness to Bigmick he makes clear in that two lines he doesn't want slating, and me too haven't seen much in him so far, but there's the danger of slating certainly once we start talking about him.

You know what? I'll blame Rafa on this one, didn't seem the best moment to give Ngog minutes yesterday.

Its the fact that he came on for the seasoned international thats the problem Lando. We know that Keane is capable of scoring goals in the premiership, champions league and on the international stage.
This kid doesnt (so far) look ready.

So i think it seems obvious to go with the player that will more likely come good.

Then WTH is Rafa doing bringing on a 19 year old with frigg all experience and expecting him to perform? Fowler and Owen were gifts from god, Ngog isnt.

He needs 2 seasons in the reserves playing week in week out then he might be ready but its unfair on teh lad expecting a miracle from someone who cant produce them. We should loan him to Bolton for a season.

what I don't understand is why he isn't featuring in reserve games. Surely this kid needs time to settle and time on the pitch, but to my knowledge anyway he has only played in 1 or 2 reserve games and he did score in the pre-season against 'Gers. But he does look clumsy, and even though I don't know much about player development, clumsy doesn't seem like something you can just fix real quick on the training ground. Maybe if he was just making the wrong runs, we could show him on film and then he could learn, but this doesn't look promising. To be fair, he was bought young and on the very cheap, and to be 4th or 5th choice. Did anyone think that Keane would have come up with the goods had he been left on?
