They should lock this topic it's pointless it was started about Babel and has moved on to so many different players it's a joke.

Lock the topic ?

The four posts immediately above yours are about Babel and some of the others on the page refer to a player as a comparison to Babel, whats the problem ?.

I'm guessing the Irony is lost on you.

I think Babel is not top quality but he is in the right place at the right time so gets goals. Until he stops getting goals people will sing his praises. But I feel if we sold him we could get someone who is good enough to step right into the 1st team.

That's exactly how I would describe C. Ronaldo.

No woof i understand my opinion is just one of many, completely pointless. For this reason i think the thread in general is just absolutely positively a complete waste of time.

I agree that Babel could be top class as a striker/forward but he isn't that great on the left side.  Don't know if he'll ever be used as an upfront player here though unless people got injured.

I think that maybe going a bit too far. Ok I know he is Utd ect but come of it if Babel was scoring 30+ goals a season we wouldnt even be having this conversation.

I really think that Babel could be our Ronaldo.  Maybe he would not be on the same level but like you stated he does tend to be in the right place at the right time and that's a rare skill.  I'm sure that Babel would score 20+ goals a season for us, if he was given regular football and a free role in our team.

Fair enough Ruskiy might be going over the top a bit there Stu but I reckon you should cut Babel a bit more slack.

I don't think he's ever going to be top class because things like his decision making, tactical awareness, passing, finishing  and consistency are not good enough, but I do think he can turn out to be a good player for us.

He does have something of the Luis Garcia factor about him.  Totally different players, but both could be frustrating to watch yet capable of doing something special to change a game.  He's not the next Henry and he's not the next Ronaldo, but he's a dangerous player on his day and one that can (and will) improve.

^  What the hell's so funny Dne?  He scored 10 goals for us last season and he wasn't even a regular.  Babel may not be a great header of the ball like Ronaldo, but he's on the same level when it comes to dribbling and finishing.

Are you having a laugh, the lad is :censored: when it comes to goin past someone, even the right back for Havent & Waterlooville last season had Babel in his back pocket!! he loses the ball far too easily and his passin is as bad as Traore's was, the fact of the matter is we paid £11m for him and even though he is young his fundamentals are lacking and if he doesnt start to improve then I think he'll be sold next season, problem being is that we'd lose a lot of money on him, if someone made a bit of £8m then I think Rafa would get rid!

He should stick to dodgy rap videos  :p

He's a super sub nothing more yet, not good enough to start consistently.

Damn, am I the only one that has seen vast improvement in Babel's game this season?  I watched him rip Manure and Mairselle defenders new :censored:, but yet you say that he can't beat defenders?  I think that I'll just quit posting in this thread because some posters clearly have something against this guy.
