Totally from memory as well, i think it took Henri quite a few games to get off the mark as well. Like I've said before, Rafa isn't comparable with Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish, and Babel ain't no Thierry Henri either. That's not to say he can't make himself into a footballer because unlike Stu I do think he has a chance, but Thierry Henri? Lets be serious. The other name which often gets bandied about is Robert Pires and how he was sh!te for the first couple of seasons. This too is utter b0ll0cks of course, he was playing regularly in a fairly all conquering Arsenal team so he was no mug.
I think sometimes people confuse a slowness on the part of the media to recognise a good player with a player being sh!te. No doubtr they'll be talking in years to come about Hleb being sh!te in his first couple of seasons at Arsenal. He wasn't of course, it just took the media a couple of seasons or so to catch on to the fact he was a superb footballer.
